The layers of color and texture here were intriguing and reminded me of a fancy confection.

I took a walk around some wetlands today hoping to see some waterbirds. But I didn't find many apart from pelican, swans, ducks, coots two ibis and a swamp hen. The clouds however were fabulously layered giving a humid feel to the day.

I like the occasional liquorice Allsort but I find them quite sweet.

Hello everyone! It's been a bit, but I'm back and super inspired 0.< This one was really fun to play with. I'm pretty sure this is even the first time I tried an upside down picture and I think it turned out nice for the first time! Enjoy!

For the "textures for layers" group

I found this at the gas station today. It was just in front of the windshield washer brush container. All of the liquid dripping off of the brush dries to form this nice minearl layer of white on the concrete. I've never seen this before. Unfortunately this was taken with my cellphone and is not as shapr as I would like it but that's what I have.

Alternating layers of silver tulle with torn paper bag -

Started by for Henry, 1st Lord Marney and Lord Privy Seal, who died in 1523 and continued by his son John who died in 1525, leaving no male heirs to continue the work

John’s daughters became wards of the Duke of Norfolk, who eventually sold the house to Sir Brian Tuke, Treasurer to the Royal Household and Governor of the King’s Posts.

In 1667 Nicholas Corsellis bought the estate who gave it to his old headmaster, the Rev. William Drake. They lived here for 6 generations, until the tower was sold by Mathew Corsellis’ executors in 1835 to Quintin Dick, MP for Maldon.

The buildings suffered damage from the Great Earthquake of 1884 but they were restored. In 1901 stockbroker Walter de Zoete bought the house and modernisation it. It was then sold to Dr and Mrs Campbell who sold to the Charrington family, the current owners in 1959.

Layers are a practical and stylish solution to a day spent in changing environments. I often layer, but I also often find that the look is destroyed as I remove pieces. Today was an exception.

Day 102/366 - Layers was the challenge for today.

This is a composite photograph of six frames with multiple exposures, multiple aperatures, three lens zoom lengths, and stacking layers.

This was taken from one standing sopt, before and during a fireworks show in Virginia Beach across from Mount Trashmore (City park) along I-264.

Photoshop has become a powerful tool, and combimed with Lightroom/raw imagery one can create a mosiac compostion like this; preserving my native images.

sometimes you wish to share a beautiful moment with someone special .. you keep wishing and wishing whenever you feel the beauty of a place. You will always believe that someone should be here to share the moment with you .. then after a while .. you know that its just a wish that will never come true.

Another banana leaf shot. This one is a stalk on the left, a leaf in the background, and one in the foreground with a backlit edge. This was about 6:30pm and great late afternoon backlighting.
