i accidentally jerked my curves the wrong way, and was happily surprised with the result.

PopSpot Focusable Fresnel LED lights are perfect for lighting specific areas of a scene. In this shot we're using a PopSpot to light the handle of the lightsaber while leaving the blade unlit to retain its glow.

Daily Shoot: Make a photograph of an object or surface that has a glint or a sparkle in it today.

I recieved this "lava" lamp key chain from my son. It is a simple key chain with changing LED bulb, but it came from such a good place. I leave this typically at my desk at work to help reduce stress when work loads get rather demanding. However it had to make a special trip home with me today to be the star of my shoot. to me it looks like Bokeh chips (sparkels) are in the lava lamp :)

Enjoy and remember to comment and critique.

Watching a lava lamp slowly moving around is very relaxing and therapeutic for Meredith during this bustling Christmas season.

I loved my first Lava Lamp when I was a teenager, now I've fallen in love with my brand new one.

Unusual amount of stuff in the background... a more lived in looking part of the house.

NL finally got these dolls in! However, they are pretty expensive. So I'll wait for the others to drop in price probably.

I spend a lot of time with young kids so play is a huge part of my life. You too can recreate the old lava lamps briefly with oil (I use canola oil) colored water which I add with eye droppers. Then the big moment: break up an alka seltzer tablet and drop it in. You get the "fizz, fizz" and all of a sudden those water drops are bouncing up and down. Try it and have some fun! :D

The actual vinyl inner sleeve is just in B&W, but the cd release has the coloured sky, thus completing the super high-concept illustration cycle. Some of the drawings on the covers of various books visible are by my kids, one by me at age 11, and other random stuff visible elsewhere on this Flickr page. The girl is based on my wife at age 10.

Inspired by the classic Sci-Fi film of the same name.

I have a lava lamp. Besides the cool shapes made by the wax in the lamp, I also get a light show on the ceiling.
