At the sugar shack this weekend, there was a tubing run, but no more snow, so it was closed! Turned into a "bomb down the hill as fast as our little legs can carry us" run.

The Wenonah, Nelson, 1907
Charles W. Busk was a Civil engineer and Surveyor, with a dream for Balfour to be a great city. Busk was also fond of boat launches and engines. The Wenonah was 43 feet in length, considerably larger than Captain Busk's predecessor - the Flirt. The Wenonah was said to be able to reach 16 miles per hour, under a full head of steam.
The silver raft in this photo was the raft that I was on for the last 5 days. It was about 35 feet long, but doesn't look that big in this photo.

I think I heard on a radio somewhere in the crowd that more people came to watch this launch than any other in history. The crowd was pleasant, totally involved with the launch and patriotic. I knew we were in for a huge crowd when we ran into heavy traffic as we passed the Orlando Airport more than 5 hours before the launch. It was worth every minute.

The private launch party of Moldova Wine in China. They Red (not rose) but Red Champagne is excellent. I also recommend going to the Teppenyaki restaurant where it was held. Yaki Yaki on Hongiao Lu. Great food. Japan level of food!!! Seriously worth the taxi fare!!!
