Today is a good day of mine, hunting for photos.
After "Wet in dew", here comes another.
It was supposed to be a brilliant shot, though quite not very special :)

Christmas is the best time of the year, and it is important to see how other cultures celebrate this special holiday. The World Language Trip took a trip to a German Christmas Village in Love Park in Philadelphia. Students were able to watch a glass-blowing demonstration, and paint their own ornaments. Afterwards, students shopped the village and ate German sausages while learning about the culture.
Student Jessica Ruble (Grade 12) says, "I didn't have German as a language so it was really fun walking around, shopping, and looking at German crafts. I really enjoyed what the village offered to give people a better understanding of the culture."
Students could learn more about the culture by doing a scavenger hunt that involved answering questions about German culture. Some questions involved how long German festivals lasted in Germany.
" I liked being able to shop and talking tot he shop keepers about the German customs. Apparently, the christmas villages in Germany begin on December 1st and last for about 4 weeks", says Jessie Ruble.
There truly was something for everybody at the German Christmas Village in Philadelphia. For some people it was the food, others the shopping, and some the glassblowing.
" My favorite part was the glass blowing. I made two ornaments for my younger brothers!"
The German village is still open until December 24th at Love Park in Philadelphia. Christmas is the best time of the year, so the village is a great way to celebrate the holidays with family and friends! Happy holidays!

The face and body language of this man inspired me to photograph him because I wondered what he kind of state he was in. His gestures do not acknowledge the presence of others, rather they look securely protected : hands between thighs, face that looks rather sleepy, closing the eyes, so that no one may look into him.
When we surround ourselves with others, our mind is filled with questions and anxious thoughts are what people around us are like, what they are doing, where they must be going. Why is it then, that on the TTC people are not inspired by others around them? Are we as a society too concentrated upon ourselves to pay attention to others?
Once again I spent the night down at The Ship. The Diamond Minds had a send off show, they are touring across Canada now. They played with Dead Language, The Dardanelles, and Joanna Barker tonight, it was great.
