Sometimes a Lamp just isn't a Lamp

I Gave my mother-in-law this hand crafted oil lamp for Christmas. She quickly corrected me and said it was a "Meditation Lamp". Yeah..I guess that works also. Anyway...here's a pic of it in action.

BTW...she loved it...so I scored a few points with this one :)

Been to Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) this weekend to Jen's parent's holiday cottage. Went for a mountain biking break but had a few photo opportunities too. The sunset on Saturday was stunning.

A lamp I made out of LEGO bricks, inspired by Sean Kenney's Lamps. I put a little twist on the idea by adding a bunch of 1x1 round white plates to the base. And yes, it works!

Thanks for viewing! :-)

Outside this room, your soul flickers

And instead of withering shadows,

I see the dust in my room.

Damn yo i love this lamp.

This lamp is one of 3 lamps that a very good high school friend gave to us to start us off furnishing our new home. It is almost unbelievable all that she gave us: beds, mattresses, headboards, bedding, pillows, spreads, blankets, pillowcases, towels, facecloths, to name a VERY SMALL amount of what she gave us.

I can’t stand a naked light bulb, any more than I can a rude remark or a vulgar action.
