I don't know why, but I've wanted to photograph my bedroom lamp for quite some time. Finally got around to it. Something about the parabolic shape of the light coupled with the shade's pattern that I like.
Seeing that it was my one shot for 5/5/2007, I thought I should add it to the 24 hours of Flickr group. Kind of a digital visual time capsule of sorts.

First one with the new lens. Sony 24-70mm GM. It weighs a ton but totally excellent. It will tone the old biceps when carrying it around 😬
Sometimes a Lamp just isn't a Lamp
I Gave my mother-in-law this hand crafted oil lamp for Christmas. She quickly corrected me and said it was a "Meditation Lamp". Yeah..I guess that works also. Anyway...here's a pic of it in action.
BTW...she loved it...so I scored a few points with this one :)
A lamp I made out of LEGO bricks, inspired by Sean Kenney's Lamps. I put a little twist on the idea by adding a bunch of 1x1 round white plates to the base. And yes, it works!

Been to Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) this weekend to Jen's parent's holiday cottage. Went for a mountain biking break but had a few photo opportunities too. The sunset on Saturday was stunning.

Lamp in the living room with Jupiter 9. I don't understand how i got to this result. In France light is different I guess.
