Big Data is a buzzword that only hints at the vast amounts of information we now collect and analyze. More confusing than enlightening in an undigested form, data can be mixed with knowledge to spot trends and guide health-promoting changes at the individual and community level: Data + Knowledge = Empowerment. It’s not about what “they” know about “us;” it is about engaging in dialogue based on accurate information. How do we best harness all the data available to influence behavior and design programs that promote healthy outcomes?

London Taxi drivers study for a couple years before taking the London taxi driver's exam. Most do it on a scooter or small motorcycle that can go down small alleys and streets that are restricted to only taxis and cycles. It's common to see driver trainees out "doing the knowledge" especially on weekends and afternoons when they're not working other jobs. Usually with clipboards holding maps and notes.

I came across this Sweet Chestnut this afternoon, I love the twisted trunk. It looks like it has a good couple of hundred years behind it already.
