Picked up the dusty knitting needles a couple of weeks ago. Taught myself how to make a hat, and now I have been one-hat-a-day-non-stop. It's all a learning process -- I love it.
This one is a little special. No pattern, just threw a bunch of new techniques together to practice.
I'll admit, I have been day dreaming quite a bit. With a little more time and revising, an online shop might be in my near future. Thoughts? :)

i was trying to knit a hat for my new enyo and somehow i messed up the math when converting from my gauge swatch, it ended up a bit on the big side and mirielle snagged the first one, then meg said the color matched the sweater i was knitting her perfectly and asked if i wouldn't knit her one as well.. now i just have to finish her sweater. Lol
Just returned from my quick vacation to Utah, where we were supposed to go skiing for the week. After 2 days, we decided that Tom had enough snowboarding already (got there 15 days before me), so we decided to travel through the area of Utah, Idaho, Montana, & Wyoming. Being a Florida girl, I can't get enough of the change in weather and scenery.
As a prelude to some of my shots from my trip, I wanted to share this snowman to wish all of my wonderful Flickr friends a very Happy Valentine's Day! You're all the best!
I also wanted to show that I could find a snowman bigger than the earlier "Frosty Jr." :-)

We played in the snow again this afternoon. We really didn't have enough time and I knew it. We were rushed for the rest of our evening.
But it was so worth it.
I debated awhile between using this photo and one of my older son looking at the camera and smiling. I went with this one because there's something about his face here that looks so hopeful, so awestruck. Snow is good.
