Since 2019 Kia is selling the Proceed as a 5-door shooting-brake. In the previous generation the Pro-Cee'd was a 3-door coupé. The sporty GT version has a 1.6 litre trurbocharged engine with 204 PS.
Sold as the K9 and Quoris elsewhere, the K900 is Kia's top of the line full-sized luxury offering. It is built on the same platform as the Hyundai Genesis and Equus.
Kia has a reputation as a budget brand in the USA, so there were many skeptics when Kia decided to bring the car to the American market. The sales figures would appear to be on the skeptics' side: just 1300 were sold in its first year. Numbers improved to just over 2500 in 2015, but the car remains a pretty rare sight.
With a starting price right at $50,000, it would seem that consumers are still taking time to get used to the idea of a luxury offering from what they've long known to be an affordable brand. That being said, the K900 is still a great value, with standard features that match those of much pricier machines. We'll have to see if consumers warm to it accordingly.

They left everyone doubtful. Kia making a luxury sedan ? Hahaha ! Let's laugh.
Ok, it was not as perfect as a Mercedes. But it was 30% cheaper than its equivalent base model for which you had to add all the options to reach the equipment of the KIA. The difference was then half the price and you had all the extras you could wish in the early 21st century on a luxury sedan.
15 years later, the Opirus revealed that it's an extremely comfortable and reliable car. You can find them for low prices and very often +300.000 km on the clock and still running perfectly. As long as their owners have cared after them. A classic youngtimer to keep.

Bit newer than everyday stuff I'd usually photograph, but I thought the saloon versions of these in particular will disappear quite quickly and this might be useful reference in years to come.
