Friedrich Kayßler (1874-1945) was a German theatre and film actor, writer and composer. He appeared in 56 films between 1913 and 1945.
Friedrich Kayßler was born in Neurode in the Prussian Silesia Province (now Nowa Ruda in Poland) in 1874. He attended the gymnasium in Breslau (Wrocław), where he became a close friend of Christian Morgenstern and Fritz Beblo. Kayßler studied philosophy at the universities of Breslau and Munich and graduated in 1893. He began his theatre career at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin under manager Otto Brahm. Later, he worked at municipal theatres in Görlitz and Halle. At the Deutsches Theater, Kayßler made friends with director Max Reinhardt, whose Schall und Rauch Kabarett ensemble in Berlin he joined in 1901. He followed Reinhardt, when he became the manager of the Deutsches Theater in 1905, where Kayßler performed in Kleist's 'The Prince of Homburg', Goethe's 'Faust' and Ibsen's 'Peer Gynt'. He succeeded Reinhardt as manager of the Berlin Volksbühne from 1918 until 1923. Kayssler wrote several poems and dramas. In 1934 he starred alongside Veit Harlan in the Berlin premiere of Eugen Ortner's 'Meier Helmbrecht' at the Staatliches Schauspielhaus. In 1913 Friedrich Kayssler made his film debut in the silent film Welche sterben, wenn sie lieben (Carl Schönfeld, 1913). As the ambitious tunnel-building engineer Max Allan, he was the star of Der Tunnel (William Wauer, 1915), based on Bernhard Kellermann's classic novel. Opposite Henny Porten he acted in various films in the 1920s: Die Liebe einer Königin (1923), Mutter und Kind (1924), Gräfin Donelli 1924), and later on, Luise, Königin von Preußen (Carl Froehlich, 1931) and 24 Stunden aus dem Leben einer Frau (Robert Land, 1931), while also acting in silent films with female stars such as Maria Corda (Tragödie im Hause Habsburg, 1924; Eine Dubarry von heute, 1926/27 ) and Mady Christians (Das brennende Herz, 1928/29).
Between 1930 and the early 1940s, Friedrich Kayssler was also extremely active in German sound cinema, such as in Zwei Welten (1930), the German version of E.A. Dupont's Two Worlds, Stürme über dem Mont Blanc (Arnold Fanck, 1931) with Leni Riefenstahl, Das Flötenkonzert von Sans-Souci (Gustav Ucicky, 1930) with Otto Gebuhr, the Harry Piel-film Das Schiff ohne Hafen (1931), and Der Hauptmann von Köpenick (Richard Oswald, 1931) with Max Adalbert. In 1932 he played the lead in the period piece on the Napoleonic wars, Die elf Schill'schen Offiziere (Rudolf Meinert, 1932). Other remarkable parts Kayssler had in e.g. Gold (Karl Hartl, 1934) with Hans Albers, and Der alte und der junge König (Hans Steinhoff, 1935) with Emil Jannings. In 1935 Kayssler had the lead in the anti-Russian film Friesennot by Willi Krause aka Peter Hagen. Other important leads he had in the Sherlock Holmes film Der Hund von Baskerville (Carl Lamac, 1937), the Kleist adaptation Der zerbrochene Krug (Gustav Ucicky, 1937) with Emil Jannings, as police prefect of Paris in Verwehte Spuren (Veit Harlan, 1938), as King of Prussia/German Emperor William I in Bismarck (Wolfgang Liebeneiner, 1940), and finally as Clara Schumann's father in Träumerei (1944) with Hilde Krahl as Clara and Mathias Wieman as Robert Schuman. In March 1944, Kayssler's son Christian, who was also a popular film actor, was killed in an Allied bombing raid. Kayßler was named one of the Third Reich's most important artists in the Gottbegnadeten list of September 1944. During the Battle of Berlin, Friedrich Kayssler was murdered by Red Army troops when trying to protect his wife at his house in the suburb of Kleinmachnow.

Le Changtang. Cette partie du Ladakh a pour particularité d’être essentiellement peuplée de nomades. Frontalière avec le Tibet qui n'est qu'à une vingtaine de kilomètres de là , elle héberge non seulement les nomades Indiens du Ladakh mais également un nombre croissant de nomades Tibétains, réfugiés ici du fait des taxes excessivent que font peser sur eux les autorités chinoises, notamment sur les transactions et les déplacements des nomades au Tibet.La région est aujourd'hui extrêmement surveillée par l'armée Indienne, toujours en crainte d'une invasion Chinoise. Les zones interdites y sont nombreuses. Les nomades vivent principalement de l'élevage de Yaks et de chèvres dont les célèbres chèvres Pachemina.
La toile des tentes, tissée à la main par les femmes est en laine de Yak. Elle assure une grande isolation.
Changtang. This part of Ladakh has the distinction of being mainly populated by nomads. Border with Tibet, which is only twenty miles away, is the living place not only for the nomadic Indians of Ladakh but also for an increasing number of nomadic Tibetan refugees who came here because of taxes posed to them by Chinese authorities, including transactions and movements of nomads in Tibet. The area is now extremely monitored by Indian army, still in fear of a Chinese invasion. The prohibited areas are numerous. The nomads live mainly from raising yaks and goats, including the famous goats Pachemina.
The canvas tents, hand-woven by women is Yak wool. It provides great insulation.

Tinplate clockwork bus made by Kovap in the Czech Republic.
This is a re-issue of of a toy made originally by CKO in West Germany, although as far as I am aware the original was only even produced with a friction motor.
I have seen this described as a school bus, presumably by those more familiar with north America, but the German inscription on the doors indicates otherwise. Yellow is more likely to be associated with post buses in German-speaking countries, although this has no postal logos.

The smallest (legal) indicators I could find: Kellermann "Atto". Really nice , almost invisible when inactive - and very visible when switched on.

Las azulgranas buscarán un resultado positivo en el partido de ida de los cuartos de final de la UEFA Women's Champions League ante las vigentes campeonas Por primera vez un equipo de la liga española llega a estas alturas de la competición con el que el reto será mayúsculo
El Femenino A inicia este domingo (17.15 horas, Eurosport) una eliminatoria histórica de UEFA Women's Champions League ante el Wolfsburg. Unos cuartos de final donde las alemanas parten como favoritas. No obstante, son las campeonas de Europa.
Por su parte, el FC Barcelona es el primer equipo de la liga española en llegar hasta tan lejos en Europa y la ilusión de esta generación de grandes futbolistas no tiene lÃmites. Además, son las lÃderes de la liga a once puntos, con un partido más, del Athletic Club.
La experiencia de Copenhague y Zúrich
Las azulgranas tuvieron que hacer frente dos duras eliminatorias en los dieciseisavos y los octavos de final de la competición ante dos grandes rivales, el Brondby y el Zürich. Las danesas mostraron su poder fÃsico pero las chicas de Xavi Llorens se enteraron contrarrestar con su juego. El empate a dos goles en Copenhague hacÃa bueno el empate a cero del Mini y las azulgranas pasaban una ronda de Champions por primera vez en la historia.
En los octavos de final el FC Barcelona mostró sus mejores armas y consiguió dos grandes victorias -las primeras en la historia de esta competición- ante el Zürich. En la ida en el Mini las azulgranas consiguieron una contundente victoria (3-0) y en Zúrich remontaron el gol inicial local (1-3).
El Wolfsburg, un equipazo
El Wolfsburg es un equipo temible que basa su juego en el fÃsico, la velocidad, la estrategia pero también en mucha calidad e intensidad. Con estas armas las jugadoras de Ralf Kellermann conquistaron Europa la temporada pasada.
En estos momentos, el conjunto alemán es tercero en la Bundesliga por detrás del Turbine Potsdam y del Frankfurt. Sin embargo han encadenado dos victorias seguidas en la liga y llegan a este partido con una dinámica positiva.
En Europa, los resultados son aún mejores. En los dieciseisavos de final, las alemanas se deshicieron cómodamente del Pärnu finlandés por un global de 27 goles a cero. En octavos, tuvieron un rival más complicado, el Malmö sueco que derrotaron tanto a la ida 1-2) como la vuelta a casa (3-1).
Asà pues, llegar a semifinales pasa por competir al máximo ante uno de los mejores equipos del Viejo Continente que busca volver a ganar la UEFA Women's Champions League.
