This house by the side of the road begged to be photographed. The owner had painted a very clear message in the front....not sure why, but thankfully he didn't seem to be at home that day.....

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Touchy Feely
The water was stamped with the Hero Arts Waves stamp with VersaMark ink and then heat set in clear embossing powder Afterwards it was covered with a blend of Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass distress inks. Gesso was smeared over the water and rubbed with a finger to whiten the raised waves. The foreground was dry embossed with Tim Holtz Brick embossing folder and colored with Antique Linen distress ink. The Hero Arts fish were stamped and layered with H.A. Dandelion ink on the bottom and H.A. Tangerine layered on top of that. Archivers Jet Black ink was used on the fish's faces. Then two layers of clear embossing powder was heat set on the top layer of the fish to give the fish shine with texture. The sea weed was stamped Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf ink and My Favorite Things Gumdrop ink. Pearls from my stash were adhered to make air bubbles in the water.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Animal Magic
We've been living in our (re-)building site of a house since January, when we moved in from the summer static caravan in the garden as everything had frozen. Six months later I am still sleeping in a tent on the ground floor (it keeps the dust and the dogs out of my bed) so I'm allowed to scribble on the walls.
It's been a tough few months - husband doing long hours at work (not much progress on the house), serious work trouble, a burglary, a suddenly dead car and more minor stuff has been keeping us on our toes. I've recently seen prints of the Keep Calm and Carry On wartime poster for sale and thought this was an excellent phrase to help maintain our stiff upper lips so I cleaned a patch of the kitchen wall one day (it makes a nice frame, no?) and scrawled it on in my terrible handwriting. It does help. Honest!

Transpennine Express Class 802 202 winds across the trackwork at the east end of Newcastle Central with a southbound working to Liverpool in front of the City's Norman Keep.
One of the many barns on the Three Springs farm. We've been planning the summer shoot for the past three weeks, with rain every available day. But we scheduled for yesterday and it was perfect. Sunny, warm with a crisp breeze, and everything in full summer swing.

Cada uno de nosotros, en alguna etapa de nuestra vida, hay cosas que se deben enfrentar solos, y por lo general ese camino, es en el medio del desierto, donde nada pasa, donde todo es lejos, donde todo parece imposible, pero nos olvidamos que alguien recorrio el camino primero y lo preparo con pavimento.
Por mas dificil, largo y sofocante sea el camino que tengas en tu vida, sigue, no te detengas, sigue caminando, se fuerte, la meta esta cerca.
Para todos aquellos que no la estan pasando muy bien, en donde sea que esten y se sienten solos, animo!!! al final del viaje, sonrisas sinceras y abrazos generosos te esperan!
