Most people keep pictures of family at work, I have a photo of William S. Burroughs wielding a knife.
It keeps my clients civil.
Just playing out an idea for a shot.
I managed to find an old set of unused blinds in my garage for the shot I had in mind.
I ended up clamping the blinds to the cross bar of my b/g stand/support.
The beauty dish at left is gelled with some blue cellophane wrap, sandwiched in between the grid and dish. The light at camera right is a reflector with a 10deg grid.
Lighting was a Elinchrom Quadra pack and heads.
5DMk1, 24-70/2.8L @ f/8 1/125th, iso100.
Keep on the lookout for more from this set. This was possibly the most photogenic non-squirrel mammal I've ever happened across.

Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Stratford, East London*. Here are the details of the project
The Round Paving Garden in Stratford, East London E15 2BU
The client wishes to transform the space simply, using paving and lawn. Existing boundaries are mostly sound and require no renovation or screening Client would like to keep existing shed. There is no access to the garden other than through the house - however there is an area at the bottom of the garden Where items could be brought into the space There is a brick built BBQ which the client would like to keep
The design uses a simple circular theme, creating several focal areas to make the most of the limited space.The main area of the garden will feature three paved circles, all in Haworth Moor Natural Sandstone. The first will be a three ring circle, creating a solid paved area suitable for dining and entertaining. The remaining two circles will consist of an outer ring of Haworth Moor paving, within which turf will be laid to create an informal and decorative effect.
The area directly outside the house will be laid with Haworth Moor Natural Sandstone paving in a random pattern, giving a larger hard area for dining and the display of ornamentation and potted plants.
The planting scheme is designed to blur the boundaries somewhat, helping to create an illusion of space. Planting will take the form of evergreen shrubbery and flowering perennials in a variety of colours, with a young Cherry Blossom taking centre stage in the right hand corner of the space.
The existing slabs will be cleaned and used to pave the area at the bottom of the garden. This area will be screened from the garden proper with trellis, and can be used as a utility area in which to house the existing shed.

Otira, day one of our four day trip away over Arthur's Pass and back through the Lewis Pass. February 8, 2012. South Island, New Zealand.
Otira is a small township seven kilometres north of Arthur's Pass in the central South Island of New Zealand. It is on the western approach to the pass, a saddle between the Otira and Bealey Rivers high in the Southern Alps. The population of Otira and its surrounds was 87 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 30 from 2001.
It was originally a stop on the Cobb and Co stagecoach from Canterbury to the West Coast. The railway line was then built from Greymouth to Otira, with the pass navigated by coach, until the railway tunnel opened in 1923. During construction of the tunnel, Otira housed about 600 workers and their families. In the 1950s the town had a population of about 350, but this had dropped to 11 in 1988 and recovered to some extent to 44 in 2010.
The township is principally old Railways housing, much of which was constructed in Hamilton and shipped south to be reassembled on site. As well as the railway station, there is a pub, a fire station, and 18 houses, 14 of them tenanted in 2010.
Close to the town are two major feats of civil engineering: the Otira Tunnel, and the Otira Viaduct.
The town was bought by Bill and Christine Hennah in 1998 for NZ$80,000, and in 2010 was put up for sale with an asking price of NZ$1.5 million.
Above the town is the Otira Viaduct. Completed in 1999, it spans a 440-metre stretch of unstable land, replacing a narrow, winding, dangerous road that was prone to avalanches, slips and closures.
