The same train from the precious shot is getting a good roll as it has just crested Soldier Summit about a mile or two ago. Keep out, and no trespassing sign's were a common site on this trip, but it just added to some of the challenges of shooting this mountain railroading.

Heat one of a Premier League speedway fixture at Shielfield Park. Hosts Berwick Bandits scored a maximum 5-1 advantage over Rye House Rockets in the race and went on to win the match 64-29. It seems likely this was Berwick's final home meeting. The cash-strapped club is set to fold before 2016, its 50th anniversary season. The riders are Ryan Fisher (red helmet cover), Kevin Doolan (blue), Luke Bowen (yellow/black) and Edward Kennett (white). Aussie Doolan won the heat in a time of 65.9sec. Kennett failed to finish owing to an engine failure then reeled off five heat victories!
Taken with a Nikon F4s film SLR using Ektachrome 64T tungsten–white-balance slide film (the kind made for indoor lighting), cross-processed as print film (i.e. using the wrong chemicals). So the colours are weird on purpose.

There were elephant rides at the Renaissance Festival. This confirms my theory that the Renaissance Festival is just an excuse to throw as much bizarre and awesome shit as possible into one square mile.
This is the clearest picture I got of that dog. I wish he'd been facing more toward me for this one.
The whole thing with this dog went on for about 15 minutes before the owner finally pushed through the brush, waded into the pond, and nabbed the dog by the collar. I feel like the owner and the dog had very different opinions about how that day had gone.

I don't think they have anything to worry about. There is little chance of Portland turning into the Upper West Side anytime soon. The entire city is covered by a haze of marijuana fumes. I could smell pot from inside my car while driving downtown (this may explain the two hour wait to get into Voodoo Donuts). Fun Fact: Portland Oregon is the global source for all White Guys with Dreadlocks. If you see a White Guy With Dreadlocks at your local protest, drum circle, medical marijuana dispensery or bus station, ask him about his hometown of Portland Oregon, USA.
