I decided to start a journal for all our home improvements. Our firstt room to conquer is our bedroom and then the kitchen!!
A poem found somewhere or other, I can't remember now. I believe credit is given on the bottom of the page somewhere. The skull made of naked bodies was just too cool. The top right corner has a leaf from my favorite tree in my yard. Pastels, magazine cuttings, clippings, watercolor, crayon, watercolor crayons, sharpie, metallic markers.
Hand-crafted mini journal with original acrylic monoprint cover. Journal measures 5 x 7, and contains blank, unlined pages.
Journal made from felted mohair knitting, hand-made paper and a lily flower strap to close. Made as one of four pieces I entered into the Surrey Artist of the Year Show in September 2010 at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham (see my blog for more details!).

February's journal postcard, and I can't believe I finished it BEFORE the end of the month! I just put together colors and a movement I liked, and it slowly came together. Thinking about it and looking at this one, it made me think that I'm waiting for something to happen - mostly Spring! I'm sick of the cold and I'm waiting for the buds to pop open into leaves and flowers. I'm also hoping other things will change.
Very recently i joined an online weight loss group courtesy of Bobbi Sheridan of Bobbi & Mike fame. Every friday we weigh in and let Bobbi know our loss or gain. It feels great knowing that there is so many other people out there going through the same thing and dealing with the same emotions. I decided to keep a journal of my weight loss and keep records of my exercise and loss/gain.
