Today's InTheSun prompt: SUMMER MOVIES
I tried that stretched out writing in the background listing summer movies then layered over it with tissue paper, stamping, stenciled "movies", some scrapbook paper and dripping acrylic paint. The dark gray squares are door screen.

Everyone is connected to everyone by one mean of another. I don't believe that there is any exception to this 'rule'. We are all tangled together, some more tightly than others. I'm sure about this.
What I'm not sure about is our path being predetirmined. Without us knowing, did we start out as the ball of ribbon wrapped and twisted around other unknowing ribbons? Or are we straight strands that curl and loop with the choices we make and the wind that blows out of our control? Our path and the paths we may or may not cross is something to me that is mind blowingly delicate at times. I know there have been plenty of times in my life where things would have been totally different if I had taken a left insead of a right.. Been 5 minutes later instead of 2 minutes early... I'd like to think of these moments as a breeze moving through the string that is life, causing the string to rub and, just as easily, separate from someone else's.
Maybe it was the mimosas I had during brunch that morning, maybe it was just how my brain and eye collaborated, but this was far more than a ribbon tangled in a tree for me.

Yes, that's actually factually me. In my pajamas and zebra print robe. And my friend in the background laughing at me and my poor golf skills. And yes, the carpet is cheetah print. Yes, we did this in a hotel. Yes, it was fabulous.

Had fun teaching my little niece "Grace" to make jelly prints then a book to put them all in. She is very creative for a 9 year old and her enthusiasm was wonderful.

Another studio photography day! Got to have a little fun with this one. We are suppose to sell an object and mine was selling my dream journal.
I was kinda going for, "you can't waste too much paper."
Too be honest I wanted to show the depiction of how we have a lot of dreams and sometimes we kill them because they aren't good enough.
Idk, that's what it is.
My written journal and supplies are in here. My current magazines and a couple of catalogs are in here too. As I read, I snip and clip favorite/inspiring photos ~ whatever catches my eye. I'll spend time just cutting and taping in some pages for filling in with writing later. I find this activity wonderfully relaxing. :)
My first page for my Christmas journal, it's an online class offered by Shimelle, wonderful spirits and community. The first day's prompt was "I declare ... " I didn't declare anything about the Christmas but to my son, the first day of December was started with my angry voice !! I then decided to make this page for him as a present and my apologize too !
This A6 journal is made of natural soft leather, sewed on a felt for the additional density. Filled with blank craft paper, great for writing and sketching.

This is the original sketch of Sunrift. I abandoned it when I realized how large I was making the building. I late went back (as I was relegated to the couch with back pain) and completed it...wonky lines and all. I do love all the stickers that they had on the doors and windows.
I filled up my first ROD journal! It was great fun!
