Let's try to fight together against rare diseases!!!!!!!!!!

Pfizer colleagues in Collegeville, PA joined hands to recognize Rare Disease Day and bring needed attention to rare diseases.

I took a photo of a piece I am working on that is actually going to be a free standing sculpture piece. The hand is constructed out of a print I printed on printmaking paper and I collaged other pieces to the hand. I have other hands I am currently working on at the moment for Rare Disease day and will be posting to my website No More Band Aids Just Cures on Facebook. The first one I made was for Behcets Disease which I have.

This is a group of wonderful people, most suffering from Mastocytosis. It was taken in Boston, Ma. during the walk run by The Mastocytosis Society. Praying for an Angel, Hoping for a Cure ! <3

I'm passionate about raising awareness for intracranial hypertension australia - a rare brain disease.

Passionate to be participating in disease day...together, hand in hand we can all make a difference for rare diseases.

UK children's charity Action Medical Research raise hands in a show of solidarity with rare disease patients around the world!

Today in the UK, there are thousands of families coping with the challenge of caring for a child with a rare and devastating disease for which there is no cure. Research is the key to saving many of these children from a lifetime of suffering. Yet surprisingly, medical research into conditions that devastate children’s lives is poorly funded.

Action Medical Research is currently funding over 75 projects targeting rare diseases, tackling premature birth, treating sick and vulnerable babies, and helping children affected by disability, disabling conditions and infections.

Research underway in 2013 includes projects on rare conditions: primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome and Perthes' disease. www.action.org.uk

As many say I am so very lucky.... Not only do I have a Rae disease, I have17!!!!

Life is a roller coated ride, ups, downs, fast turns, upside down and sometimeS out of commission. Yes this is my life and I have to live it minute to minute, and very thankful for each minute.
