Girl Scout Troop 74394 kicked off Rare Disease Day earlier this month by writing a letter to the editor in our local newspaper. Last Friday we passed out 650 flyers asking our school to get involved. We also participated at school today by distributing bead packets and completing the activity found on the website in all K-5 classes. We finished the day by visiting Respite Care, Inc. in Ft. Collins, CO. We left Rare Disease Day coloring pages, toured their wonderful facility, and dropped off Girl Scout cookies of course!

In this picture is myself and 9 of my siblings, one is deceased. Of the 11 children There is 8 in the family who have Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia. There is no cure for it, but it can be managed, if the doctor knows about HHT. Too many doctors are not familiar with HHT. There have been many people die with HHT because it was undiagnosed.
