Paphos Fort might not be the most impressive castle I have ever seen, but the location on a lovely crystal clear beach of Mediterranean Sea helps to come up with at least bit more interesting photo of otherwise rather simple square box building.

Turkey - Türkiye - Istanbul - Ancient Byzantium & Constantinople - Kiz Kulesi - Maiden's Tower - Leander's Tower - Tower lying on small islet located at southern entrance of Bosphorus strait 200 m from coast of Üsküdar - One of the best-known sights of Istanbul
This might be one of the most iconic locations in Istanbul, but I only visited there during my last trip. The weather conditions were absolutely terrible, super strong wind, super strong rain, very cold day. Luckily at the end we managed to hide behind one of the small coffee shops along the seashore. The result is way better than I could hoped for considering how awful the evening weather was. You simply never know and you should always try till the end. I would like to add that once we left the very fragile shelter, we got the most of the strong downpour and I got to the ferry so soaken wet as probably never in my life. Things we do love.. ups photography ;))

Middle East - Sultanate of Oman - Ash Sharqiyah Region - Sur - صور - One of ancient Omani maritime cities & important destination point for sailors on coast of Gulf of Oman - Cityscape with modern Khour Al Batah Suspension Bridge at Dusk - Blue Hour - Night - Twilight
Modern suspension Khour Al Batah Bridge is relatively new addition to the city of Sur. It crosses over narrow part of Al Ayjah lagoon and creates much shorter connection to popular Al Hadd area, which popular with turtle watching.
If you are planning to capture this bridge, do it at dusk as this photos was taken. During early morning twilight hours lights on the bridge are switched off, creating less photogenic opportunities.

Another shot of mysterious frozen bubbles. This photo has both interesting ice factors - those bubbles, but also long deep crack in the ice. It was relatively difficult to guess how deep the ice is, but judging by the size of some of those cracks, it must have been in range of 30-40 cm. It was my 1st time ever on such a frozen lake and it was absolutely amazing and also terrifying in the evening when the ice started to settle down and created scary sounds when these giant pieces of ice moved a bit. If I were to compare it something, it sounded like an explosion from nearby stone mine, very deep powerful "boom" like sounds.

Italy - Italia - Sicily - Sicilia - Riposto fishing town on shores of Mediterranean sea under active Etna Volcano in background
It is always fascinating to be nearby volcano, especially when it is active. The smoke on the photo is from the Etna and it still carries the remaining colors from the sunset. Sicily is on my list to return at some point and I hope to have Etna active again (in safe distance).

This shot is such an unexpected result and a great proof that perseverance pays off. It was taken during very rainy evening with blue hour nearly finished. I noted this composition during the day and decided to give it a try while standing in heavy rain with umbrella above my head. I was really nicely surprised by this great result as the 500 ISO and f5 are sensitive enough to capture that faint light from nearby street that was slightly reflected on the boat the pier. The result is really unusual from what I see normally so I'm really pleased with it.

During my trip to Iceland, I visited a lot of interesting locations.
While I was heading to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, I saw some stunning crepuscular rays, so I changed photo location and headed to the Ice Beach instead.
Fortunately there were not many photographers so I could walk calmly. After a bit, I found the perfect jewel for my photograph.

Not particularly well known town, but very lovely regardless, especially at dusk. The only mystery we could not solve was why they lit the whole rock behind the town but not the lovely cathedral. The river Meuse was beautifully still, which helped with the wonderful reflection of the historical town.

From last evening at Bixby Creek Bridge, aka Bixby Bridge, near Big Sur. No, not the waterbed store.
I joined Clint on a photo adventure that included more gas station visits(3) than photo stops(2), but in the end, a good time was had by both.
Here is a pano after sunset from the steep ledge on the north side of the bridge. This panorama is a combination of 62 separate images combining 2 levels of exposure, 2 focus planes, and enough left to right overlap to accommodate the wide angle distortion of the 35mm(~28mm FF equivalent. Each of the 62 individual frames was painstakingly and meticulously stitched and blended using content aware technology, feathered brushes and pen tools...not really, I just loaded them into Photoshop and walked away, lol. The full sized image is 20,986 x 8252 px, so ready for a large print.
Thanks to the nice 10-12 CHP officers at the Hwy 1 roadblock who let us through to go take a picture, on the condition we promised not to go any further south of the bridge. The temptation was just too great and we did anyway, but we still appreciate you looking out for our safety. The Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge just before McWay Falls is about to collapse any moment.
Lens is the D FA 35mm f/3.5 on the 645Z.

I’ve always wondered how villages get their layouts. Here at one end of the viaduct, a short terrace of houses stood alone. There were single properties off to each side but this really felt like the edge of the village. But why are they on their own? Are these residents less sociable?
KCS Fort Smith Dodger crossing the Choctaw Route at Howe, OK. The G Heads and red and yellow engines of the Arkansas and Oklahoma make it clear that this is the Rock Island. Even outside of the Illinois Division there is no denying that the Rock Island still lives on 43 years later. Will the Southern Belle be alive and ever present in 43 years? I bet the Rock will.

During my trip in Iceland I took the opportunity to visit beautiful places.
A few hours before the sunset I headed to Vestrahorn, one of Iceland's most photogenic mountain that rise on a lagoon next to the sea.
Since the wind was calmer, a great reflection was visible on the water.
I made a panoramic shot during the last sunrays, that were tinging the mountain with red shades.
