Beginning at 11:00 A.M. on April 9, 2016, we invite you to join us of the 2016 Relay 4 Life Photography Exhibition. Twenty-one of Second Life's best photographers have come together to support this vision for a world without cancer. They join with Survivors and Caregivers who will share stories of their journeys.

Each photographer will be offering a silent auction item to be auctioned off during the exhibition, from April 9th - April 16th, 2016. There will be amazing offers of photography sessions to bid on, gorgeous limited edition artwork you will only find at the exhibit and can take home with you as a wonderful moment.

Colourful dancers entertains visitors to mall. Beautiful and colours boys and girls on stilts dance to beat of the drums. Pleasing experience indeed. We joined the fun.

Travelling down in your direction
From the delusion that fills your eyes
When you kneel under the skies
Waiting in vain, to hear words spoken

Continuing this week's 'Spitfire' theme - here is a profile view of a Spitfire Mk 1. A key feature is the barely perceptible, tapering, twist to the wing. The leading edge points upwards by 2 degrees where it joins the body, reducing to half a degree at the tip. This subtle twist greatly improved the handling for pilots, but made the structure far more difficult to manufacture. The wing was the design of Canadian-born aerodynamicist Beverley Shenstone, an unsung hero of the Spitfire story.
This aircraft carries the Eagle Squadron badge. Three RAF squadrons were formed with volunteer airmen from the USA in 1940 before American entry into WW2. About 240 men served, of whom around 100 perished. In Sept 1942, the US airmen transferred to the US 8th Army Air Force. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Squadrons

The setting sun gently presses an aged barn and accompanying shed, illuminating a companionship that began many years ago. Together they have born the burdens filling a busy farm life. Few things in life compare to the beauty of an old couple still happily married and enjoying the shared memories of lives well lived.

Caldas da Rainha (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkaɫdɐʒ ðɐ ʁɐˈiɲɐ]) is a medium-sized city in western central Portugal in the historical province of Estremadura and the district of Leiria. The city serves as the seat of the larger municipality of the same name and of the Comunidade Intermunicipal do Oeste (OesteCIM, Intermunicipal Community of the West). At the 2011 census, the municipality had a population of 51,729 in an area of 255.69 square kilometres (98.72 sq mi), with 27,378 residing in the city. Although the city itself lies about 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) inland, three of the municipality's civil parishes lie on the Atlantic Ocean. Caldas da Rainha is best known for its sulphurous hot springs and ceramicpottery.
The settlement was founded in the 15th century by Queen Leonor (Rainha Dona Leonor), who established a hospital and a church at the site of some therapeutic hot springs. The Hospital Termal Rainha D. Leonor (Queen Leonor Spring Water Hospital, or Thermal Hospital) is the oldest purpose-built institution of its kind in the world, with five centuries of history. The city's name, often shortened to simply "Caldas", can be translated as "Queen's Hot Springs", "Queen's Spa", or "Queen's Baths".
Caldas da Rainha is home to many cultural institutions. The city's nine museums cover art, history, and cycling. Cultural and sports venues include Centro Cultural e de Congressos (CCC, Cultural and Conference Centre), a centre for performing arts, exhibitions, and conferences; Expoeste – Centro de Exposições do Oeste (Exhibition Centre of the West), which hosts exhibitions and festivals; a bullring; several football (soccer) pitches; and a multi-sport municipal complex. Caldas hosts six professional and higher-educational institutions, including a major arts and design school and a school devoted to ceramics. In 2014 Caldas da Rainha had the best public secondary school in Portugal based on national test scores.
