This beach that you can see here was photographed on my last day there back in January and it is typical of the stunningly beautiful sandy beaches that you see on Harris. The colour of the water is aqua, the sandy lovely and golden and the skies either bright blue or full of the most vibrant clouds known to man.
Scotland is sure one hell of a place to visit with a camera and I never tire of doing so whatever the weather/time of the year but late autumn should produce some stunning colours whilst still being mild. The temperatures were ten degrees in the middle of January which happened to be the warmest in Europe at the time. Apparently Lewis and Harris does not suffer extreme cold weather in the winter.
Anyway, I hope you all like the image as much as I did taking it :D

It was very windy when we went to see the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) at the Futamiokitama Shrine, located in Ise, Mie Prefecture, Japan. According to the Shinto religion, the rocks represent the union of the creator kami, Izanagi and Izanami. The rocks, therefore, celebrate the union in marriage of man and woman. They are joined by a shimenawa (a heavy rope of rice straw) and are considered sacred by worshipers of the shrine.
I placed the tripod at a spot that was protected from the winds, and took 11 minutes worth of long exposure images using an ND filter. Blending those images result in this silky smooth water surface -- all the waves from the gusty wind got smoothed out. The rope between the rocks moved and was blurry, so I blended the rope in from a short exposure image.
I blended 22 long exposure JPG images into a single image, blended the ropes from a short exposure image, processed a balanced and a realistic HDR photo from that, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. Middle East - GCC - Bahrain - Modern Manama City Skyline from traditional Muharraq area
Muharraq (Arabic: المحرق) (meaning Place of Ashes), is Bahrain's second largest city, and served as its capital until 1923. The Muharraq Town was established by the Al Bin Ali Utub tribe as early as the late 17th Century.It has long been a centre of religiosity. The city is located on Muharraq Island. The city's origins are ancient, going back to the time of Dilmun some five thousand years ago, but it came to prominence in the historical records during the era of Tylos when Bahrain came under domination of the Selucid Greeks, and Muharraq was the centre of a pagan cult dedicated to the shark god, Awal. The city's inhabitants, who depended upon seafaring and trade for their livelihood, worshipped Awal in the form of a large statue of a shark located in the city.
Manama (Arabic: المنامة, transliteration: al-Manāma) is the capital and largest city of Bahrain with an approximate population of 155,000 people. Manama has emerged as the capital of independent Bahrain after periods of domination by Portugal and Persians earlier in its history. Today, it is a modern capital with an economy based around the sales promotion industry as crude oil takes a less pronounced role in the economy.

Here's my capture of the Super Moon about 1 hour after it came into view and about 1.75 hours after sunset. The sky was not really this dark yet, but I took the photo pretty fast.

Milford junction 12:53 hrs
Milford sidings had just arrived the Appleford tanks at 12:46 some 56 mins early. The K77 tripper was ready for a move to Ferrybridge Davis at 13:10 but actually left 61 late. I turned up 20 mins early with 66057 4A62 ex Drax and the Kirkby Thore came alongside some 81 mins early with 66074.
