I shoot this spot at least once a year in the fall. Im a bit late this year

D

This is an ok shot but, I wanted to post it for a few days for my friend Jim to see.

Jim is speeding over a bridge in the Florida Keys.

Hey, Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel. It wasn't thunder-snow, but it was a winter rainbow appearing during our morning walk. So, my wife matched your enthusiasm, exclaiming "It's a full rainbow!".

I loved this shot! The sun behind him, the soft focus!

Taken at Bay front park!

A great guitarist, composer, songwriter and the man that gave us the guitar solo in *Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)" by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel.

Jim. A fellow walker around my area. He is the real walker. Normally walks over 6 miles a day. I caught up with him this morning. He is moving back to Boston, MA later this week. He will be missed by all in the neighborhood. Just wanted a snap shot of him.

first shot with the new camera!

Gary (Jim Burns) spends much of Pickle Tosser sitting on the crapper. His legs really did fall asleep.

Myself and Ricardo went to Bath near bristol to view a Leica M6 i had put a deposit on to buy , only to find out they had sold it !!. Dam i was gutted as it was soooo cheap and in stunning condition.. anyway the only bonus of the day was bumping into this guy .. Jim Hanshaw.. I took this shot at this angle because i saw him as the brain .. there wasn't a thing this man diddn't know about classic 35 slr's.... and man did he love to chat, even when Rich and i had to leave he was following us along the street still talking..

i hope to bump into him again for a deeper insight into his knowledge soon

Jim knows how to get a portrait session started by bringing in some tasty single malt Oregon whiskey!

The great thing about the Deardorff Studio is the ability to use a full range of movements in the front and back while being able to hold up that 12 pound 18 inch f4.5 cooke portrait lens. Both eyes are in focus thanks to some rear and front swings and front tilt and a flat field anastigmat. This shot was 10 seconds at f4.5.

It's hard to believe that our dear and very special friend Jim DuBois (Garnite) died five years ago today. He was a gem of a man, a fine photographer, a lover of eagles (especially Beethoven) and a compassionate friend with a gentle sense of humor. I know I join all his friends from around the world in remembering him with love not just today but every day.

On the 30th of March, 2022, the railfaning world lost one of its biggest proponents, as cancer took from us, too soon, the life of Jim Wrinn. Here was Jim in mid-2021 with his wife Cate, as they celebrated the first fan trip with Rio Grande Southern No. 20 after a seventy year absence on the rails.

While I haven’t known Jim Wrinn as long as some, in the past two years that I have, it has been a great trip with journeys across the hinterlands of New Mexico, the Silvery San Juan Mountains of Colorado, journeyed at home right to the edge of The Grand Canyon.

Highball Jim!

Jim Thorpe (Lenape: Màxkwchunk) is a borough in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, USA. The town has been called the "Switzerland of America" due to the picturesque scenery, mountainous location, and architecture (from Wikipedia). This shot was taken from the Asa Packer Mansion overlooking the town during a Christmas trip with friends. Unfortunately cold rain and fog was what we were greeted with.

I liked the clouds better on the return trip.
