My very first visit to the M6 Pass resulted in one of only two sightings for me of an RAF Jetstream at low level, my second being in August 2003. In March 2004 all RAF Jetstream's were retired. May 2002.

Please note this aircraft is not accessible to the public, The perks of having a meeting on site were access to this storage area.

The 29-seat turboprop Jetstream 41 made by British Aerospace is a stretch version of the Jetstream 31. First flying in 1991, 100 were made between 1992-1997.

As I was focusing on my shot at the sunset, my wife alerted me the jetstream above the sky. I thought it looked cool with the sunset and decided to take a vertical shot of the scene.

The above image is a scan from an original Kodachrome™ slide. The default size is 2000 x 1250 pixels, so clicking on the photo will enlarge it for better viewing.

The original image comes from my slide collection, amassed over the past 40+ years. They are a combination of my own photographs and ones acquired through trades or purchases.

I created this Photostream in 2017 for the purpose of holding my slide collection as an archive, as otherwise they would just remain in binders and boxes, not being enjoyed by anyone, myself included.

Comments are welcome.

Just wish I had kept an eye on the shutter speed as 1/4000 has stopped the props! I was trying to capture the fast jets.......

Leave the things you don't need

And the ones that you don't love

Faith and hope

Keeps our minds together

Your heart's left the ground tonight

Scattered lost in light

Seems that I've been waiting here forever

Shutting engines down. Cockpit operations, on board an Air Century's BAe Jetstream 32, reg. HI860. Flying from La Isabela/El Higuero Intl Airport (MDJB/JBQ), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP/MTPP), in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

One of the very rare Jetstreams still flying on major airports. 1/50 second panning shot from the top of parking building P7 in order to get full propeller disks. This photo is dedicated to Tanku, who had his fair share of turbulence and air sickness while gathering test flight data in such an aircraft. Phenomena such as Dutch Roll, German Bratwurst and British Meat Pie were investigated.
