Read about how I made this blanket from recycled jerseys [sweaters/jumpers] at my blog here: freshlyfound.blogspot.com/2009/08/jersey-patch-blanket.html
This was the cyclist in the yellow jersey for our "Tour de Mülheim" float. They had a bicycle mounted on the trailer which he would cycle on for a bit and then he'd jump off and climb the winner's podium with a good sip of champagne. The guy is our local pharmacist.
The USS New Jersey (BB-62) launched from the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard on December 7, 1942, and served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vientnam War, and as part of a multinational force of peacekeepers during the Lebanese Civil War. She was decommissioned in 1991 and is America's most decorated battleship, having recieved 19 Battle and Campaign Stars. The Battleship New Jersey opened as a museum and memorial on the Camden Waterfrint in October 2001.

One of my favorite bayshore spots. Friendly neighborhood place with great food. Get an Italian hot dog or a pork roll sandwich. Right across the street is a county beach and fishing pier with great views of Sandy Hook Bay and NY.
New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus americanus) is a semi-woody plant of sandplains and occasionally rocky outcroppings. It is the key host to the New Jersey Tea Inchworm (Apodrepanulatrix liberaria), an Endangered species of Lepidoptera in Massachusetts.
On Sunday, May 30th, Shoshana had her Bat Mitzvah Party. It was also my birthday so I kept saying, "It's so nice of you to throw such a nice party on my birthday!" LOL
This Bat Mitzvah was quite extravagant - i believe i have been to weddings that are less fancy, no joke.
Little girls line dancing :)
Part of the Garret Chow exhibition All Chips on the Table at the SF branch of the Rapha Cycle Club.
The design on the jersey is suggestive of a photograph's histogram on a digital camera, it is also reminiscent of teh vertical elevation profile of a bicycle race.

This was inspired by a story my friend who is a Community Policeman and told me of a Serial Killer that once lived on Jersey. I can't imagine how vulnerable everyone felt being on a small island, until he was caught!

Jersey Fresh 2011
"Chicago Wolves jersey worn by Jason Krog during an award and championship filled 2007-08 AHL season. Krog would lead the league in both regular season (112) and playoff (38) scoring, as well as capture both MVP awards and score the championship winning goal as part of a hat trick in game six of the final versus Wilkes-Barre to win the Calder Cup, his first at any level of hockey."
This was part of the "Hometown Hockey" exhibit. There is a case for each current NHL team and includes a jersey from their farm team. I had to give a shout out to the Wolves even though their affiliate is Atlanta. I went to many Wolves games during the Hawks dark period in the late '90s and early '00s and was in attendance when they hoisted the Calder Cup in 2002.
