I was surprised with how much grander this scene is at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World compared to Disneyland. I was told by those that frequent WDW that it is better, I agree and went wide to capture the whole scene.

This is not my photo or even my doll (tho I wish both were). It is a repaint of the Jack Sparrow doll by the talented Noel Cruz. Currently on Ebay, he does amazing work and if I only had $1000 this doll would be mine. :-)

His website is:

Captain Jack Sparrow. All adjustments done in Adobe Camera RAW.

Seems like they have been sitting around for awhile...

A nice homage to Legendary Imagineer Marc Davis, who was particularly fond of playing chess.

Please View On Black. It really does look better. Thanks!

Finally, he's arrived, and he's just glorious! More pics to come.

This is an update for my LEGO IDEAS project: Pirates of the Caribbean Icons Collection. The update includes improvements on most of the models. The chest now has a more detailed and accurate interior, the builds of the chalices and the diary have been improved, decals have been placed on the book, the chalices, the compass, and the eye, and Minifigures have been added. If you like this project, then please use the link above to go to the project page and support it. Thank you! :)

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

Just hijacked a canoe, now looking for sultry sirens to join him!

I was doing some research not too long ago for 1/6th scale Army Figures, and found one where they converted a Jack Sparrow figure into a military figure, and I wanted to try that with one of my figures. I still want to do a little work on him, but am fairly happy with him.

It took a LOT of work to get the Sparrow hair to work over the BrickForge Armor, but I am happy with the look. Originally I had a black scarf on him, but found some marroon cloth and thought that fit beautifully with his hair-scarf color.

I also did a lot of work on the ToyWiz camo printed ARC by adding some Tiny Tactical elements to the weapon, and painting a scope on them as well.

He is armed with a BrickArms camo printed ARC and a proto Kukri.

"Drink up me hearties, yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! A toast to piracy and its many shiny rewards. As a career, what could be more rewarding? Drink up me hearties, yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! I humbly accept this magnificent treasure as my reward for a life of villainy, larceny, skullduggery and persnickety-nee. Drink up me hearties, yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! I raise a toast to honor my many shipmates lost at sea." - Pirates of the Caribbean Wiki

Taken during a Dark Ride meet up with exceptionally talented Photographers, I think this was turned out quite nice. Thank you for your advice, Michael Besant.
