I'm all excited about Iple's new Carved Heritage line and so I'm gearing up for the arrival of pirates! So far I have the flintlocks (thanks Ashbet!) and the rum barrel. I honestly can't wait for the pirates to start arriving! Buying for them is a blast!

This figure just does not cease to blow my mind. The realism and detail are absolutely stunning. I also love that the clothing pretty much hides joints, adding to the realism. Just absolutely love this guy.
I had to do a little quick repair on this facesculpt as one of his little beard braids came right out. Not broken, just not glued in proper. It has now been fixed and here he is. He's just glorious.
I can't even express enough how amazing this figure really is.
Aproveitando o momento de insonia durantes as ferias para postar fotos de dois dos meus Kens favoritos, que pouco aparecem por aqui, mas que eu amo loucamente! <3

Pirates Of The Caribbean is one of my favorite movie series, and what better way to represent that than Jack Sparrows quirky and iconic arrival and introduction at the start of Curse of The Black Pearl. This moc took me a while to decide upon the way I would do all the small details such as the designs of the water, the placement of the bucket, the details of the mast and sail, and the gradual tilt to the entire sail/mast assembly. Overall, I am happy with this fun tribute to a quirky character in cinema.

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

I have done my Toy Sunday "Going Bananas" already, but got another idea today.
For me, going bananas can be anything wild that don't have to include bananas at all. I hope you can see that these chimpanzees are really going bananas, and I bet that Jack isn't so happy with the situation.
Bless!

Captain Jack came out of nowhere as I took this. Definitely a cool surprise after seeing a camera crew hovering around the area, a bunch of random pirates hanging out, and then he comes out, fights some people, then casually walks away.

Aye, Matey! It's Talk Like a Pirate Day! Errr....
My pirate name: Captain Mary Rackham
Here's what it says about me as a pirate:
Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
