Come over here
All you got is this moment
The twenty-first century’s yesterday
You can care all you want
Everybody does yeah that’s okay
So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I’ve got to let you know
I’ve got to let you know
You’re one of my kind
I need you tonight
’cause I’m not sleeping
There’s something about you girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel
I’m lonely
What do you think
Can’t take it all
Whatcha gonna do
Gonna live my life
(I need you tonight- INXS)

It's been quite some time since I've posted a dark ride Pirates of the Caribbean shot so let's change that today. This was done with the absolutely wonderful Nikon 35 1.4 which is a lens which is a total beast for dark ride photography. I'd love to pair it with the 24 1.4 and a D4s for some truly epic dark ride slaying.
As I've been mentioning I've replaced Lightroom in my work flow with Capture One. There are numerous reasons for this and I plan on releasing a video soon touching on some of this. In the mean time if you'd like to give it a try you can download a trial from Phase One's website. The program is currently on sale 50% off for $149 but you can use my exclusive code AMBCOOPER and receive an additional 10% off. You can pick it up at www.phaseone.com/en/Online-Store/Capture-One-Pro-7.aspx I highly recommend it. Be sure to tell me what you think of it or ask me any questions in the comments!

Theme Description: The saying goes, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” But for this theme, we want to see how your doll spends his/her weekend in Sin City. The Las Vegas Strip is all about flash, pizzazz, and living on the wild side. Think 24-hour casinos, showgirls and concerts, vibrant nightclubs and bars. Aside from the bustling nightlife, there’s plenty to do during the day. Perhaps your doll(s) prefers soaking in the sun at day clubs and hotel pool parties. Maybe visiting museums is on the to-do-list. Or maybe your dolls are on their way to a quickie wedding chapel! How you choose to approach this theme is entirely up to you. There are lots of possibilities for our dolls in a city that never sleeps.
About this photo:
My first idea on this theme was the casino with roulette and a doll that has money and a cigar in her hand. Because I have a miniature plastic roulette like a childhood game.
But my mom wanted to make a magician from the beginning of the month with some magic trick. We thought about cutting the box with the splitting of the doll's body. She finally talked to me about the scene of this scene. We thought levitation is the easiest way. But we did not know how to make a mistake. This scene was among the hardest ones I shot during this call. Finally, after a few hours, levitation got us to shoot.

Earlier this summer I worked with Daniel Konstanski for a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed issue of Blocks Magazine. This was from the past issue 32 - June of 2017 - were I had the opportunity to photograph a bunch of fun pirate-related builds. This was the main cover of that issue featuring the Silent Mary. Daniel constructed this amazing brick-built "wave mat" to give us the crashing waves of a stormy sea. I'll be sharing a few photos from that issues over the next week or so.
This is the final scene of Walt Disney Worlds Pirates of the Caribbean. For the life of me, I can't remember what was i this area before Captain Jack was added. This was the first time I was shooting with a f/1.4 lens and wow, it makes a huge difference. I hope you like it and thanks for looking. Have a great week.

I must admit I got a bit lost with the instructions. I wasn't sure what layer was what, but this is what I came up with. :)
Using my favourite man Johnny Depp. Jack Sparrow’s eyes aren’t blue, but I have made them that way for more effect. :)

Take us back in time and show your doll trying to stand out from the conformist fashion and atmosphere of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Show us finding her/his own way of self expression through art or fashion. Maybe she's gathered at a coffee shop, listening intently to a poetry reading -- a common activity and hot spot of the time, or she's ditching the proper feminine attire of a knee-length dress and gloves for skinny black pants (how daring!) and a beret. From diorama to fashion, the only guidelines here are to show your doll daring to be different in a time when conformity was the norm.

Basics #16. I used hair from a 2007 Fashion Fever Barbie that lost a fight with my cat.
Each plug was cut to about 1 1/2", boil-set, then trimmed the sides and back.

I am going to take a little break from my Autumn series and post some Halloween (type of) shots since the Tricks or Treats started last night in this area.
This scene is from the New 'Jack Sparrow' show at WDW's Hollywood Studios. It is a really fun show with LOTS of eye candy.
Thanks for looking!
