BLU Winter 2007/2008 Collection.

.

I made this using super chunky wool and 8mm hook using a baby crochet matinee jacket as a guide line to start the yolk. I continued increasing as set until the yolk was big enough and then added a lacy pattern. I only had 600 grams of super chunky so had to make the jacket shorter than I would have wished.

These are the book jackets I keep hidden away. I wrote about them in this post on my blog.

Megan, the only girl that will let me take pictures of her, sometimes.

My "doubrella" technique is kind of simple and obvious. I take a light stand, attach one umbrella adapter on it, an then another ontop of the first. I then attach a silver one to the bottom adapter, and a white translucent one on the top (The flash is on the top one as well). I shoot the flash into the silver one (which isn't fully oppened) and the light reflects back and out the white 'brella for much more diffused light.

this is really the ONLY time muddy has ever worn clothing beyond her collar.

Yellow Jacket wasps building a nest in a rotting log.

The Yellow Jacket belongs to the group social wasps (including hornets) who build communal nests and defend them aggressively. They do not hesitate to sting for the slightest reason and can sting over and over again.

The Baby Surprise Jacket I'm knitting for our friends is finished and waiting for a bit of a bath before being sewn up. I did a few button auditions just for fun.

Blogged here.

Just an example of the kind of area you can explore in the selfportrait space. Let's get rid of all the cliches and get creative again!

Taken during my latest MSWS Pro V'log.

Sorry about the muted colors! I think I must of misplaced my pro file.

Jacket FSG 1945. The fabric is a gold & black rayon, underlined with fusible lightweight cotton. There are several things I'm not happy with here, notably the ripples under the arms (why?!), the hip measurement could be quite a bit smaller, the bottoms of the sleeves are way too HUGE, and the whole thing wrinkles like crazy. No more rayon jackets for me: this one's a wearable wadder, barely.

cool crest on the vintage jacket.

More bombers, puffers, varsity jackets

Another macro of a yellow jacket wasp from last weekend. He had been crawling all over this fence post, most likely waiting for his wings to dry from the overnight rain, so I took my chances and fired away a few shots.
