Almost all sport coats have the standard two inside pockets; many have additional ones for pens or cash. A custom made coat can have whatever pocket configuration its wearer desires, such as special pockets for a security badge, pocket watch, or cigar.
Unit 3: Work has begun on George's jacket. A laser cut pattern that resembles scales has been worked into the panels. The fabric has already started to unravel and fray giving a distressed look, adding texture. A teal lining had been panelled underneath as a contrast to the amount of orange in the fabric design.
My son loves this jacket, and it really was fun to make. It brought me out of a long sewing dry spell too. I sewed the jacket with a black cotton french terry, and used black cotton lycra for the arm and waistbands.
For the white stitching lines, I used a heavy weight quilting thread, and sewed each line twice, so they would really stand out.
The fit on this jacket is nice and slim which is great for my son since he is quite tiny.
The rain jacket was really cheap, but needed a drawstring around the bottom to make it keep ALL the rain out while bike commuting, so I sewed one on.
Made on commission for a friend. Fabric is 97% cotton, 3% spandex. Fabric was hand dyed and is lined in lilac satin. Jacket has three outer pockets and took approx 40 hrs to complete.
I would consider taking another commission for a similar jacket, but it would be pricey.
This soccer jacket is in 11-12 Italy Style design.
