I loved this project, and I'm very happy with the finished sweater. I know I'll be wearing it a lot this winter. I adjusted for my gauge, took out the swing shape, added buttons all the way down the front, and made the collar open by picking up stitches all the way around instead of sewing them down for a turtleneck. Oh, and the Rowanspun Aran isn't a shabby yarn, either :) You just have to be careful not to break it when pulling your seaming stitches tight!

I got my new jacket in the mail today which I ordered from Asos. I ordered it Friday morning and got it today. That was pretty fast. Also got a free lemon cookie that'll supposedly transform you into some kind of hot latino chick.

MISSES' JACKET, SKIRT, SHORTS AND PANTS: Lined jacket has princess seams, two-piece sleeves and hook & eye closing. C: fitted through hips, back vent. B,C: collar and waist zippers. Skirt, shorts or tapered pants have back zipper. D: back slit. All are semi-fitted.
Staci took this shot for me at her house, and it is the first one that came out with everything lined up right and straight! I don't know why this jacket refused to be photographed.
The Kathmandu Aran yarn is perfect for this (although it looks great in things like Noro too), and it is just right for Houston weather. It keeps me warm when I am cold, but the sides are open so that I don't overheat when I'm indoors.

Notes: I wish I had knit the garter stitch a bit more loose, so it would have a little more drape. When I finally block it, that may help. I need to add to the sleeves and put an edging on them too - maybe this weekend. The are a little too short right now.
