Close ups of the yellow unicorns. These little guys are around 1 inch tall and have tiny stars painted on there rumps :)
Still editing my Nashville wedding but needed to take a break and edited a few more shots from this past weekend's session. This image is special to me because I really blew my hightlights out and was still able to recover it. Next time I'll use spot metering so that I don't risk losing the shot.
Unfortunately, I'll be away for a few days so I wish everyone a great and joyous week!

Three days old! One of the kitties Patches (my neighbor's cat) had at our house.
I'm afraid I have way too many animals to take on another and my neighbors also have a lot on their plate. So, if you live in the Gastonia/Charlotte area and need a kitty, please send a message!

This shot was a tough one to capture. This was one of the themes that we all were supposed to have an opportunity to photograph. However, the photographer who created this theme (including the dress made out of newspapers) arrived late and was the only person photographing this model.
I asked him if I could grab a quick capture as I thought this was so unique. He said "yes" but that I would have to use my own lights. Since this was towards the end of the day and the studio was packing up, I grabbed one of my lights and literally put it in place and hit the shutter.
The original had to many shadows so this is a composite between a regular b/w version and a really dark version with vignettes. I'm still working on a color version and will share that shortly. The photog capturing this look had 3 lights, all softboxes, so I know his images are going to be dope!

"Vintage Prom Dress" for the Itty Bitty Book Club.....my first attempt at making an itty bitty page. I was a nervous wreck & this is actually my 3rd attempt at making a vintage prom dress page.LOL!! I actually took pictures of 2 vintage prom dresses that I have but could not make them look the way I wanted. Finally I was down to the wire so I took a picture of this vintage vase & kind of liked the way it came out so I just went with it!!!

Recordings taken on September 3 & 4 and on September 12 show how quickly Mei Xiang's cub has grown. The Cub squawks loudly at the 1:40 mark and if you listen carefully, then you can hear an occasional bleat, chirp, or other soft vocalization from the Cub throughout this segment. Some repetitive or session-ended clips have been deleted.

I decided I'm going to do a photo a week of the babies to document their development until I no longer have them.
This week, the little calico was the chosen one! She was the first I noticed to slowly awaken to the world with one, teeny, tiny sneak of an eye opening.

1. La foto en sí me parece fantástica!
2. Recorté la foto pues la mano de la izquierda quedaba cortada y además quería darle más protagonismo a la peonz...
3. Como venía una luz muy fuerte de la derecha que inundaba el espacio y sobreexponía algunas partes de la imagen decidí dale más fuerza para lo cual retoqué la exposición, brillo, intensidad y además le incluí un Flare en la parte derecha...
4. Para el toque vintage filtros de color azulado y sepia más retoques en el color...
5. Finalmente decidí colocarle un bonito marco vintage de la serie Vintage Borders de Ittybitty...
6. ...e voilà...esta es mi versión

My mom painted this little bud vase for me when I was a kid, and I've carried it with me to each home I've had since then. It's a little banged up, but it's still special to me. The fake flowers are a recent addition.
