It's been awhile since I baked so I put together some banana muffins ... with a twist. I didn't have *quite* enough flour for the recipe so I put in a bit of oatmeal to help fill out the recipe.
And along with chocolate chips, I put in some cut up raspberries too. Waiting for my tea to steep and then test them out. Wish me luck!

I couldn't use the automatic ticket barriers at Victoria or Brighton because I had to show my MANDATORY RESERVATION COUPON 1OF 1.
But... you can't book seat on this train service...
I wrote to Southern to ask them to put an end to this minor madness. I received a templated reply which suggested nobody had really read what I wrote.
Actually this is just part of the haul. Can't go giving hints about possible future giftie things.
I had a lovely time today with my faboo grrl Shelna! We've been going to this show almost every year for *many* years and it's always a fun adventure for us.

I was bad and didn't get a little thing shot done yesterday but I think this gem makes up for it. And I have another one too!

Normally posters about missing shoes don't get my attention but since I shot the photo below less than two weeks ago, I had to laugh.

I know this is blurry but I really love it because she's laughing. And there's no sweeter moment than seeing and listening to your child laugh.
I went for a bike ride today up to High Park and came across a bunch of signs at the zoo there asking for folks to support and save the zoo from closure. This one stuck out needless to say!

It's rare to find work like this on campus. Not quite a paste up ... this is a whimsical stick up!

A fun day out with my friend Jerome at the Bike Show and a new experiment with caffeine ... I blame Jan:

It was pretty good actually - until the caffeine/sugar rush wore off. ;p

The Element of Surprise.
Cute t-shirt gave me a giggle last night. Ball cap says "Talk Nerdy to Me." I know a few friends this would apply to. ;)

“Chronos is clocks, deadlines, watches, calendars, agendas, planners, schedules, beepers. Chronos is time at her worst. Chronos keeps track. ...Chronos is the world's time. Kairos is transcendence, infinity, reverence, joy, passion, love, the Sacred. Kairos is intimacy with the Real. Kairos is time at her best. ...Kairos is Spirit's time. We exist in chronos. We long for kairos. That's our duality. Chronos requires speed so that it won't be wasted. Kairos requires space so that it might be savored. We do in chronos. In kairos we're allowed to be
... It takes only a moment to cross over from chronos into kairos, but it does take a moment. All that kairos asks is our willingness to stop running long enough to hear the music of the spheres.”

It was a bit damp when I headed out for work this morning but at least the sky was lovely. Unfortunately it's just cold, grey, wet and blah right now.
But at least I'm inside with a warm cup of tea. Gotta be thankful for that.

Thank you so much my dear! ox

Happy Pride all!

After being woke up this morning at 4:30am by a car alarm and not being able to get back to sleep, I'm hoping for a peaceful night's sleep tonight. Wish me luck!
Sweet dreams to everyone!

I had a fun night out with friends last night. Good stuff to eat, some sangria, a little dancing and some night shooting. And a visit with my friend Andy who will soon be moving to Peterborough.
Though we'll miss Andy, all and all, it was an evening well spent with good company. And I love happy accident shots like this too. :)

I received my first birthday gift today from the one and only and faaaaaabulous sweet Kat! There was the pick up tag on my door when I came back from yoga class this evening.
A gorgeous *pink* card, some cute bicycle clips and some yummy sweet flavoured sugars. Yum yum! The lime and blueberry ones are my favourites but they're all yummy.
Please note I was given permission to open this package when I got it and I actually waited a whole 20 minutes before ripping into it!!
Thank you soooooo much Kat - you're da sweetest thang! oxo

I got my first Valentine's Day card today in the mail from one awesome Kat-grrl! I especially got a good giggle out of my fortune.
"You are easily satisfied (the little things) and do not particularly long for riches and splendor. By this self-sufficiency you are happy and will continue to be so also in the future.
Great earthly possession you will not acquire, it is true, but you will have all you need to maintain your life. Many of your acquaintances have gone farther in life than you, but they are not happy and often envy your contented character.
You will reach a high old age and during your lifetime you will but rarely be afflicted with illness. (if I stop licking strangers) You do not know either envy (green is not my colour) nor grudge and are altogether modest and moderate in your pretensions. Therefore you will rarely be disappointed in your hopes."

I never thought when I came up with this idea for a gift for a friend that I'd be posting it as a tribute photo in condolence to the community in Newtown, Conneticut. My heart goes out to those who have suffered such a horrible loss and shock.
Tell your loved ones how much you care about them.

Cut the green wire! No! Red! Cut the red wire!
Check me out -- I replace the stylus on my turntable! I've only needed to do this for months and months and months. 2016 was my worst year for music in a long time. I decided that changing the bent, gross, dull needle on my record player was a way to send the universe a message that I'm ready to hear great stuff this year! As if on cue, moments later an online music buddy suggested something that turned out to be super-awesome. It worked! It really worked!
Meanwhile, in other awesome news, Schnookie got free mini-cupcakes from the wonderful local bakery!
