It has always amazed me to see hummingbirds close-up and in person. This was shot at Huntington Beach Central Park, and then I added a couple of layers of my own texture.
It certainly has been a different year with the pandemic. Hoping for good things in 2021. I hope everyone is well.

Title translates to "The Red Tower" located in Mellieha - Malta. This structure was built during the days of the Knights Of Malta (circa 1580) to (a) keep watch over the sea surrounding the Island , and (b) communicate with other towers located along the coast, via smoke signals in case of approaching danger. Where it all started, or where you can find out how it started.
There are stories that should not be forgotten... Well, perhaps we should never forget. From memories, from the past and from our history we learn. Today I begin to record the result of my investigations. A task that has taken me a year, a long year of wandering between the shelves of the Carnelian Archive, where all the Fairlands chronicles are kept. The dust, the smell of leather, paper and history have been my faithful companions in this search, which is now over. It was something personal, yes. It has already been lost in time and in the silence of my relatives over the years, but I needed to know the truth. And the truth, like a polished diamond with countless faces, is not as simple as they imagined. There is no good or bad, but a mixture of the two whose balance maintains the Universe. Anyway, this is not the time to ramble. I think I should pick up the scattered fragments, hinted at in these flickr posts, and tell the whole story, though maybe not the whole truth, who knows....

Ihre raumgreifenden Arbeiten sind multidimensionale Bildwelten, in denen Wände, Decken, Objekte und ganze Gebäude und Landschaften mit leuchtenden Farben überzogen sind. Für die Ausstellung „Katharina Grosse. It Wasn’t Us“ hat die Künstlerin die Historische Halle des Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin sowie den Außenbereich hinter dem Gebäude in ein expansives Bild verwandelt, das die bestehende Ordnung des musealen Raums radikal destabilisiert. A painting by Katharina Grosse can appear anywhere. Her large-scale works are multi-dimensional pictorial worlds in which splendid color sweeps across walls, ceilings, objects, and even entire buildings and landscapes. For the exhibition It Wasn’t Us the artist has transformed the Historic Hall of Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin as well as the outdoor space behind the building, into an expansive painting which radically destabilises the existing order of the museum architecture.
