The Expo, the largest holiday venue in Second Life, supports the Society and its fight against Childhood Cancer.

Yup , this was meant to be a bird to get a shot for SSC this week , and what do I get - a squirrel !! There have been a number of birds about so far this week from Blue Tits to Pigeons on the table , the seed feeder and the fat snax feeder and to be honest , a random capture may well do for my SSC shot even if I clipped the end of it's tail off .
However , the squirrel seems to be tucking in well and come the end of the summer it will be all over the curly - whirly tree after the hazelnuts .

More practice with reflections and highlights today. I need to put together a kit of items for food. I struggled to balance the apple with the knife and I was worried about it falling off the table and onto my foot. Therefore, I couldn't show the whole apple or it would reveal my crazy prop system. Any tips or ideas on how to prop is always appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help and comments!

It was the most difficult bird I have photographed so far.
I had to climb down and climb a deep ravine to reach the place where these magnificent birds were.
The light was very dim and they were always hidden in the middle of the branches

It's a fine and warm January afternoon at the Bobolink bridge just east of Reeseville, as Canadian Pacific's westbound rail train rolls through with a fine looking GMD SD40-2 on point. They will drop some rail just east of Astico next, before heading to Portage yard. The sun is not exactly in a prime position, but that doesn't bother me much, as the shadows also tell a story of their own.

Just as I got to the forest it started snowing. Great photographically, but it was so cold on an exposed hillside!
