It was one of those Winter days when a heavy fog combines with a hard frost to turn the whole landscape white....Cold and beautiful!

It has been foggy and off and on rainy since Friday. The local airport had to cancel almost all flights for the past three days. My son had to get back to school but his flight was canceled for two days straight. I ended up driving him to Detroit to catch the second leg of his flight; with fog like this most of the way there and back. At night you couldn't see more than the distance of three lane hash marks, even with fog lights.
Well, it had been waiting to happen: here is my Blender made B744 (or an approximation thereof).
Many thanks to Blender Guru for an excellent tutorial. Since the passenger versions of the B744 are being discontinued, I made a Cargo version though (which means I had to make only a few windows).
I used a blueprint of a B744 from Getoutlines.com to model the aircraft.
To make the livery I used Inkscape (first UV unwrapped the model, saved the UV file, imported in Inkscape, drew the livery there, then used that as a texture in Blender to project it on the UV unwrapped aircraft).
All software is freely available.
I went through hundreds of CC0 clouds pictures before I found one that worked. It took quite some time to get the lighting right too.

She could not possibly bear to hear that breathing one more time. She thought of turning the pen and…
She said something. He turned around suddenly, “What did you say?” She looked back down at her paper. “What did you say? You said something. What did you say? What did you say?” She was working on the background now. This whole wall needed yet another coat. She was examining the plan carefully. “It’ll all come out together. It will.” She couldn’t wait. In a day or two if she kept at it, it’d come together nicely. “It’ll come together real nice.” She just needed to make sure the pencil did not run out. No, the pencil could not run out. He had left the room some time ago. She knew. She sighed and let out a sudden rush of air emptying those lungs forcefully. She just had to be careful that pencil did not run out.”
Found in Funchal, Madeira. Only one house like this in a busy and perfectly non-derelict street. I wondered about it as the foreground looks like scary paving stones. What was the purpose of the building?

It was our turn for a ride on the Mark Twain river boat. It threatened rain that morning, but never materialized. Nothing but blue skies and pretty clouds on the horizon. Lots of action on the river that morning too!
