These colorful umbrellas forming a geometric pattern were up in the air. I was lucky for great clouds in the desert area when we mostly just have a plain sky.

.......... Fort Myers Beach taken from our hotel one evening as the sun was setting and a HUGE storm was brewing!

I had thought about cropping this but decided not to as it gives you a good idea just how vast this beach is ....... it's a long walk to the sea!

1933 and 2016 are not so far apart. People wounded in their soul, damaged in their honour, hit in their pocket, but craving the kind of dreams and certainties that have been unrelentingly dissolved, are determined to go for immediate change. Their wishes may be fulfilled in ways they themselves had not expected and others might justifiably fear.

It was rain day ,we still took her picture at the big building of water museum .

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

(Words by Sammy Cahn / Music by Jule Styne)

Oh the weather outside is frightful

But the fire is so delightful

And since we've no place to go

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of stopping

And I've bought some corn for popping

The lights are turned way down low

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight

How I'll hate going out in the storm!

But if you'll really hold me tight

All the way home I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying

And, my dear, we're still goodbying

But as long as you love me so

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It’s fake hair but I like how it looks.

it was a cloudy day but there were some bright spots in the sky when i decided to take a trip to Southampton to get some shots. Unfortunately the sunset was kinda boring so i wiated for the Blue Light and came up with this

It's probably still outside somewhere. I wonder if I could find it again?

This is a hand-held, 3 exposure, -2/0/+2, HDR tonemapped with Photomatix and further processed with PhotoShop Elements 3 and Microsoft Picture it! 10 Premium. I liked the dream-like quality of the final results. :-)

Here's the poop on this one...

ISO: 400 (because I'm an idiot. I would've shot 200 preferably, but 400 is still nice on my camera and noise ninja cleaned things right up.

Aperture: f/11 (you'll see why in a minute)

Shutter speed: 203 seconds (3 minutes 23 seconds)

Focal length: 12mm (because I can)

To arrive at my shutter speed, I first found the correct exposure for a 30 second shutter speed. The correct aperture for 30 seconds was f/4. This meant that if I stopped down to f/5.6, my correct shutter speed was 1 minute. At f/8 the correct shutter would be 2 minutes and at f/11, the correct shutter was 4 minutes. I just guesstimated the time with the clock on my cell phone and this is what I got. I was a little underexposed, but that was no big shakes with the raw conversion. 4 minutes is a long time to wait for a picture and f/16 would've been 8 minutes and f/22 would've been a whopping 16 minutes, so I settled on f/11.

The foggy sea is the wave action and the white spots on the left and moving across are spots of foam as it moved ashore and back out to sea. Had lots of fun with the super duper long exposure. The biggest problem is that the tide was on it's way in so if the waves reached the tripod, it would sink in the sand and the camera would move....

When I was a child, every Christmas morning my two younger sisters and I would wake up in the middle of the night. It was the same every year. I would wake up and tip toe to my bedroom door to peek out, then make a quick u-turn in to my sisters' room. They would be awake already, both sitting on one or the others bed, giggling quietly to themselves. I would speed across the room and leap onto the bed bouncing them both to the ground. We would sit there quietly laughing, asking each for the millionth time, "Do you think they're up yet?" Eventually our minds would wonder to what lay down the hall and to the left, under the huge Christmas tree that we knew was lit so Santa could find it easily. It was now 2:00 am

As we softly guessed about the great gifts Santa might have brought, my middle sister's eyes would grow wide, not with wonder, but with the realization she was about to be sick. She'd jump off the bed, one hand holding her nightgown above her knees so she could run and the other hand slapped tightly across her mouth, she'd fly off to the bathroom with her robe flapping in the wind behind her. My youngest sister and I, abandoned on the bed, would look at each other first in shock, then in realization. IT'S CHRISTMAS! It was now 2:30am

Our parents, having gone through this ritual for years, dragged themselves out of bed at hearing the commotion. Mom went to the bathroom to calm my middle sister down and Dad went to the bedroom where my other sister and I were dancing on the bed caroling, IT'S CHRISTMAS! They'd calm the three of us down and tuck us back in to bed with promises that Christmas would soon be here. It was now 3:00 am.

It wasn't long before I was back up and around the corner to my sisters' room again where we quietly giggled and asked each other, "Do you think they're up yet?" for the billionth time. Our parents hearing the commotion and looking more like zombies then elves would drag themselves out of bed, come in to the room and announce that yes, Santa had been here. We would run out and sit in our perspective spots by the tree and its mounds of gifts while mom and dad would find spots in the back to sit and watch. It was now 4:00 am.

With the gift giving done and a good breakfast ate, the three of us would sit in the middle of the carnage of wrapping paper, ribbons and toys we created and start a day long play fest while Mom laid on the couch snoring and Dad slept on the recliner with his head tilted back and a little stream of drool sneaking out of the corner of his mouth. It was 6:00 am.

For a long time, I had forgotten about those wonderful if not weird Christmas mornings until one year I was reminded of them in a not so subtle way.

It was Christmas Eve and we were tired from visiting all the relatives from both sides of the family all day. We arrived home weary and ready for bed. I turned on the lights to the Christmas tree so Santa could find it easily in the dark, then headed for bed.

I was awakened by the sound of rustling coming from the living room, a quiet, hushed rustling but enough to wake me. I began to toss and turn. A muffled sound escaped the pillow next to me, "what's the matter?" I replied with my suspicions that the cats are playing among the gifts under the tree and I'm told not to worry about it and go back to sleep. It's now 2:00 am.

I'm again awakened a short time later by a hacking sound. I roll out of bed and grab my robe. The pillow next to me mumbles again, "What's wrong now?" I replied with my suspicions of a cat having a hairball under the Christmas tree. I stumble into the living room and find the hacking cat. I calm him down and drag him and his brother to the foot of the bed and lay them down. It's now 2:30 am.

A half hour later, I feel the cats restless at the end of the bed. I hear them jump down to the floor, knowing there headed back out to the tree. Tiny rustling keeps me up, I toss and turn. It's now 3:00 am.

Finally, without warning, all sounds cease. I relax and begin the search for the slumber I long for.

CHOO-CHOO!!!

We both fly out of the bed holding are chest as the extremely loud train sound came crashing in from the living room. Somehow, the cats found the tiny little "on" button to the train that encircled the tree. I threw down the covers I dragged with me when I jumped up in my terror, put on my robe, and exclaimed, "Get up, It's Christmas dammit!" It's now 4:00 am.

We dragged ourselves out to the living room looking more like zombies than elves and found the cats sitting in front of the tree watching the train go around in circles.

We opened our presents and the cats played in the carnage of wrapping paper and empty boxes while we ate our breakfast of frozen waffles. As I sat myself down in the armchair I heard a muffled sound come from the couch, "I'm beat" followed soon by the sound of rolling thunder. It was the last thing I heard as I felt my eye lids become heavy and shut and a little drool slide from the corner of my mouth. It was 6:00 am.

365/365 It is love that holds everything together,

and it is the everything also. ― beloved Mawlana Jalal-al-din Rumi

I dedicated my '365 project' to 'LOVE' with 'LOVE'.

it's a simple shot but was difficult to execute as i wanted all the elements which i have used throughout the year .. Rumi Sahab .. Bokeh .. Heart .. Love .. 365 celebration and Splash which i hv never tried before .. was lucky to get the splash in the form of Heart ... also there is a tear as well .. I hope u all like this parting visual in the 365 Dil se project

Shot with D3x @ Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens

====================================

A whole year. I can't believe it. It really doesn't seem like it's been that long. And it does at the same time.

I started this project with the hopes that I would come out the other end a better photographer. I also just needed something to do with myself. I've definitely learned a lot, and improved a lot as a photographer.

Starting out, I honestly didn't think I would finish. But here i m with my final 365th photograph.

I know there's only one photo a day, which is simple but anybody can click thousands of pictures a day but thn maintaining quality and having a proper creative idea behind it was more important to me keeping the existing technicalies, knowledge and the gadgets i posses ... hence that doesn't mean I only took one photo a day. In my Project 365 folder, there are 3,292 photos. That's 42.16 GB.

For someone who wants to start a Project 365, just go for it. There's nothing to lose. Just do it with thtorough honesty to urself and this art .. Not every day will be a masterpiece, but just keep the shutter going.

I think one of the coolest things about Project 365 is that you have a record of everyday of your life during that year. Normally, you wouldn't remember every single day of your life, but I can remember taking every single photo. I remember what was going on when I took it, where I was, etc. For every single day of the year. And I think that's pretty cool.

thnks so much Nikon D90 .. Nikon D3x .. SB 900/600 .. Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens, Tokina 100 mm F 2.8 Macro, Nikon 24mm PC-E/Tilt Shift lens .. Nikon 135mm f/2 DC .. Nikon 135mm f/2 DC .. Tokina 10-17mm fisheye .. Nikkor 18-55mm VR .. Nikkor 70-300 .. pocket wizards triggers .. acrylic sheets ... soft box tent .. led lights .. torch .. Manfrotto tripod ... Tata WIFI .. Apple Mac .. TB external HD .. reflectors .. cardboards .. snoot ... stands .. ipad 2 .. Nikon Wifi transmitor etc etc etc ....

I want to thank My family, of course! My parents, who have been so inspiring and supportive of my photography all along (they helped make this camera possible).

My wife Ruhee, who has silently tolerated my late nights at the computer, buying and arranging props for me .. becoming my assistant when needed .. inspiring me by praising every single picture .. keeping a shut eye and a deaf ear to constant flashes of SB900/600 while having her evening nap ..

- And last but not least, my doters who have come up with innovative ideas .. Sana helping me with painting/drawing/sketching and Afshan helping me with hand modeling ..being my assistant when need .. helping me with descriptions for the pictures ... they have steered me through and pushed me to go on when I was down and low by massive pressure of 365.

Lastly what would i have done without my 2731 friends on FB .. u all r so dear to me .. makes me feel so happy .. so proud that i hv so many well wishers .. so many who liked what i experimented in the world of photography .. very humbly I want to say thank you to everyone not only here on Facebook .. but friends on flickr .. on twitter .. on my wordpress blog .. on google plus .. u all hav supported and encouraged me along the way.

thnks to those as well who just looked at my photos. It really means a lot that people take the time to check them out. I just want to thank everyone for making all of that happen.

365 Dil se .. without you all .. wouldnt have been possible.

Dil se shukriya .. abhar .. thnks .. Dhonyobaad .. always loved u and will always love you all for being part of this beautiful journey i took ...

Two uploads in the space of 24 hours, I know it's intense.

I've seen hundreds of C63's (literally) with all of them being in either silver, black, white or a various shade of grey, but never in red!

I like the C63 a lot but it doesn't really fit in with what I like to post but having never seen a red one I thought I'd throw it up here. That and the fact it looks boss in red.

Still doesn't warrant it's own day though. :P

Lets start the new year off with a fight. These two bucks were going at it this morning. Happy New Year Everyone.

I was up at 4:30 this morning and on the pier on Newnans Lake by 6:30. Sunrise was an hour away, so I did some more starry sky photos (Jupiter Ascending?). All the while I was keeping an eye to the north as color started to appear in the sky.

As light levels rose I repositioned my camera to face the northeast sky. It would be a blue and orange sunrise as I saw something moving on the water. It appeared to be some type of birds popping up on the water. But what kind I thought as I continued to capture this O&B beauty.

Once the sun rose I could make out through my binoculars that these weren't birds they were buoys. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission was conducting a study and I could see there were at least thirty of these markers around the lake.

I think it's been about two years since I shot with this camera (Mamiya C33) so it was high time to take it out. And it was not exactly smooth sailing. ;p Check out the bts video here.

So I built food instead of eating it.

It was actually quite fun to make all this furniture.

My stock of Reddish Brown Parts is quite large but I had to order some of the detail parts such as the globe or the glasses.

When the bulb fields are in bloom, this region is one of the most colourful (and the most visited) in the world.

I have hundreds of tulip pics in my archive, but I can't resist taking some new ones when I pass the fields on my way to work. :-))

It's amazing to see how the cars run around this fountain.

Piazza della Repubblica is a semi-circular piazza in Rome, next to the Termini station. On it is to be found Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. It is served by the Repubblica - Teatro dell'Opera Metro station.

Interesting 50 ||| Italy ||| Night pictures

It was a very wet day with poor visibility, but you can still clearly see St.Colman's Cathedral dominating the town. It was built in 1915, and the tower is 300ft high, which makes it one of the tallest buildings in Ireland.

It's been a number of years since I've been here, so I can pinpoint or geo-encode this picture as closely as I would like. I seem to remember that it's in the Killington, VT area. But when I looked on Google Earth for something that would fit what I remembered, nothing seemed to match. Oh well.

It's rare that I get to see a full-horizon sunset, so I was thrilled to catch one this past weekend on a quick day trip we made to Michigan's western shore. It was a soothing way to end a day.

after a long while of waiting us out, these matriarchs finally decided to take a chance and pass right in front of our vehicle. They were very cautious due to having a couple of very small babies among them. I love to watch the dynamics of an ele herd and how protective they are of their young. We can learn something from them...
