This is Odawara Castle which isn't actually what it seems to be. The 1870 earthquake flattened the castle at Odawara and it remained in that state for a hundred years until over the last fifty years it was rebuilt to its current state. To be fair to the Japanese there are many ancient buildings worldwide that have been rebuilt built on site. The original building was erected in 1447, rebuilt in 1633, 1706 and again in then late 20th century. This history tells as much about earthquakes as it does Japanese military defences.

Yea, I know the song has nothing to do with the image but I hear the music in my head whenever I think about it. Maybe it was playing somewhere when I was there. All I remember was getting excited chasing this shoot. So excited that my hands shook as I pressed the shutter release. Damn that long black I just had. With all the jagged light and blurs, I think I just created art.

Today the We're Here group members are saying this is how I used to be.

The group was chosen by Jo who, like last year, is celebrating her birthday in lockdown. Happy Birthday Jo.

This is me holding a picture of my three year old self holding my baby brother who doesn't look very happy about it. Mum is ready to catch him should I let go.

I spent much of yesterday and today finishing my crane. It's practically done apart from stickers and perhaps a few minor details. I also hope to build a few accessories for it in the coming week.

Pictures showing all the details and the model's various working features will have to wait until next weekend, but I'm so happy with how it turned out that I decided to already post a picture.

We just went to Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP, in California. It was our first time, and we loved i!!

WEEK 10 – S Perkins Kroger Revisited, Part II

Had to get really close to the produce coolers on the side wall to get this shot: the angled sign placement probably helps to advertise “farm fresh produce” to customers who might otherwise overlook this nook-like area, but keeps the department icon in the dark, metaphorically speaking. Realistically speaking, it's too much in the light: the sun from those windows has made these stickers peel the worst out of all of the ones in the store! Here's a shot of the other side of this wall from my blog post.

....................................................................

A couple weekends ago my good and talented friend Matt www.flickr.com/photos/matthewjoel/ invited me Northbound (along the North Shore of Minnesota) to Duluth to assist on a wedding. Of course I said yes and of course I had a blast. These are a handful of shots that my little Canon (yes, Canon... get over it) and I came away with.

Truth be told, I need to work on my lighting technique. A lot of my images were either overexposed or the opposite. I've always found it much easier to photograph outdoors (obviously since I love natural light) but this was an indoor wedding in the middle of winter. My first winter wedding and I definitely have some learning to do.

It's all a learning experience, every day, every step. Thank God for that.

What's the saying? Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Perhaps that applies to more than just the old wedding traditions... We bring our old techniques, we learn some new, we borrow new ideas, we see the view.

...or something like that.

The kids never cooperate! There is one adult female and three youngsters in the nest. I was really happy to see that this nest, which I hadn't visited since June 8, is thriving and has youngsters almost ready to fledge (another nest I was watching had its babies die in the heat wave). I watched them exercise their wings and move around the nest to feed. Mom vocalized every time I got near the river's edge, even though I couldn't have reached the nest through the water. I could hear Dad vocalize as he flew around, but he only delivered food during the time I was distracted by a calling Swainson's Thrush. Ospreys, Frenchman's Bar, Vancouver, Washington.

I know, my stream has gone to the dogs and got stuck in the snow...but it's all I got right now!

The previous day, the four pointers lost this ball in the snow. Today, it took Tessa less than two minutes to locate it on the large field. It's her sister Tink's and Tessa is quite fond of it.

There was a time when gadgets were my own.

HCS!

literally.. well, except for the 'new' part.. it's actually a dumpster couch, but it is new to us! see, our friends that live a few blocks away from us were outside doing yard work when their neighbor's just put this couch out on the curb. i guess everyone can agree that our futon is the most uncomfortable thing in the universe to sit on so they called and asked if we wanted them to grab it and bring it over. the only thing that appeared to be wrong with it was it was missing the middle cushion. but then they went over and asked them if they had it and they actually did! after our friends brought the couch over they said that their neighbor's little girl kept the cushion because she loved the couch so much and didn't want to get rid of it, so she kept a piece of it! she even hugged the couch goodbye when they took it! so sad! :(

the couch was in great condition, no blemishes of any kind. but naturally, it didn't stay that way after being in our house for only a few hours. earlier in the day i discovered mukha's hand was bleeding! but it stopped, so i thought it was ok. then, randomly that night it started bleeding again and she jumped right up on the couch, of course. then we doctored her paw up a bit and cleaned up the couch (not really, we just made the stains bigger..). but then a few hours later it happened again, only worse, because she walked on every single cushion!! so now we have all these blood stains all over the couch! they're actually not that bad, because i kept cleaning it every few hours the next day. they're not that noticeable, but they still need to be cleaned more. that night we doctored her paw some more and it was totally healed the next morning! and no more incidents so far!

ps~ that hand that's pointing towards the camera is the one that did all the damage! one of her fingers looked like it was cut with glass.. i'm so glad it healed so fast, i thought we were going to have to get stitches or super glue or whatever.

It’s that Mustang again. I liked the profile and the grill of the Mustang so this exaggerated angle worked for me. I feel it give the car a bit of a mean look.

Babysitting is fun when the children are well behaved and wait patiently for their dinner. Bree calls them to the table, saying, "It's almost ready, boys! This soup is going to be 'M'm M'm good!'"

I can't believe I haven't already got this photo on my stream but if I have I think it's good enough for another airing. I must admit I don't have a lot patience with some tasks and I have trouble combing my wigs they seem to tangle so easily and go out of shape. This one long and curly is perhaps the worst to manage and wear as it goes right across my face but I've had it for a long time and love it for when I get it right it adds a bit of magic. I can wear it as a wild greedy sex hippy like the magnificently decadent Pornstar Carla but also when I want to show how nice and sophisticated I am and pretend I'm an up-market princess like kate Middleton.

It's been a while, I know!

As some of you know, RL has been taking over my full time for the moment and that is keeping me from being productive on a regular basis.

However, I figured that with some help I just might start getting back on track and bring Kuro back to a shiny life.

So, if you like Kuro and Kuro in Motion just as much as I do and would be willing to help, please click on the following link and give it a try. I promise you, I am usually nice!

The 765 shoots up some smoke as it passes the NKP searchlight in Hammond, IN after a lengthy delay at Hohman.

My girlfriend shot this portrait of me in the bathroom especially for our own lesbian site our own site. She told I'm hot! 8-)

I finally got the last two engines on!! Yay! Getting that round shape which those cheese slopes proved to be a bit more difficult than I had thought but I think it turned out looking good. I was able to complete the interior ( more pics to come) and add the flap tracks to the wing. I still need to add the decals and touch a few things up here and there but past that this 727 is done. I’ve also collected enough parts to start the b-36 project so expect to see that begin sometime this upcoming week.

Remember that phrase? Hilary Clinton used it for one of her books, written while she was still First Lady. Okay, she used the old phrase, "It takes a village," she didn't use idiot. But she might want to consider it as a title for a future book about the Trump administration from her perspective.

I don't know who this guy was. I only asked to have him pose for me. My Canon EOS does not have a microphone connection, so the only microphone I can use is the condenser mic built into the camera, and that isn't always good for interviews, especially when loud music and crowd noises are going on in the background at the same time.
