These drops are just as I found them this morning - no dewdrops were harmed in the making of these photographs, and none were added or enhanced either.. I just take 'em like I find 'em - and I liked the way this single iris leaf meandered along in it's own way - oblivious the the vertical pattern that all the other leaves were in...
I am fascinated by the coloration of the Iris.
Playing with the macro settings of the DSC-T700. Not bad for a thin point and shoot. One of the main reasons I picked this particular camera. For a lot of other things, the noise of the 10MP sensor is just too much, but for a still shots, its not bad at all.
Rescue Iris in Bloom ... this past year our neighborhood has seen many old bungalow's torn down, replaced by new construction. This Iris is a cutting from a 91 year old woman's house that she gave us before she left. We tried to rescue a few more from the flower bed before the house was demolished. The new owner said he was going to save all the old flowers and we could not take any cuttings. The next morning the bulldozer showed up, and the flowers were buried in seconds. We were so happy to see our one cutting bloom ... now we know Laura's Iris will live on and be Enjoyed!
