An old fashioned iris.

Iris hybrida - Purple and white flowers in our front yard garden in Putnum County, Carmel,NY.

I've been enjoying this flower all week - its the only flower on an otherwise uncultivated allotment - and its perfect.

These photos are older than the ones with lilies and roses. Forgot to put them up before. Most of the irises are gone already.

visited my gran today, thought this iris that was in her garden was pretty bizarre looking, almost leopard skin.
