Another Iris by a hairdressers. The hairdresser has a small flowerbed just outside the front door.

I picked this flower this morning and then photographed it with a piece of loosely hung mylar behind it, while holding a piece of red cloth that reflected into the mylar and acted as my background. Just experimenting with a different look than I usually use.

I believe the Iris comes in more blue shades than any other flower.
Especially the German Bearded like this one.
There are hundreds of colors and hues of Iris.
The Iris takes its name from the Greek word for ''rainbow''.
In Ancient Greece, the Greek Goddess Iris was the messenger of the gods and the keeper of the rainbow.
She acted as the link between heaven and earth.
Another reason why this flower is so ''heavenly.''
