Bits:
1 - iPod Shuffle
1 - 5 stick pack of Wrigley's gum (or similar) - I'd recommend Doublemint, for a step that comes later, but they're all good. The red foil on the Big Red pack tends to scratch off over time though.
1 - cutting tool. small box cutter or x-acto knife would be better. Sharper the better.
1 - pencil (if sharp, next is optional. If dull, you'll need next)
1 - pin, unbent paperclip, similar
tape (scotch, packing, anything transparent against surface it's stuck to)
For the sake of this how-to, I'm re-using a Shuffle I already made a cover for, hence the foil wrapped cap - pretend it isn't there.
Carefully unwrap the ends of the pack and then the back - it's just like unwrapping a present. They're put together using a wax that will let go easily. It may remove red foil from Big Red pack (or silver foil from the inside) - the inside doesn't matter, but outside, it sucks to lose foil.
IMPORTANT!!! You can eat the gum, but don't toss the foil wrappers they come in. You'll need one for later (again, note the foil wrapped USB cap.)
