A lovely brushed-metal finish. 220 grit sandpaper to remove the anodized finish, and Wenol to polish it off. Looks good.

Week 22/52
This week’s theme for my 52 project is “Macro/Close-up.” This is my first-generation iPod, which I got in early 2002. This model could hold 5G of music and they used the tagline “1,000 songs in your pocket.” I was so excited to be able to have so much music on such a small player. Obviously, technology has come a long way since that time, but it’s still fun to look back.

If I'm going to sweat like a stuck pig while driving in traffic, I might as well rock out while doing it, right? My only question: if they have a U2 edition iPod, why do they not have a Rufus Wainwright edition? Dude. I would have bought that a long time ago.
Pictured here is an iPod shuffle. This small device allows people to store up to 200 portable songs. These are very popular on campus and in the gym.
