The heat in Atlanta is settling in. I finally decided to get myself an iPod. I drive an 11-year-old car with no air conditioner. If I'm going to sweat like a stuck pig while driving in traffic, I might as well rock out while doing it, right? My only question: if they have a U2 edition iPod, why do they not have a Rufus Wainwright edition? Dude. I would have bought that a long time ago.
These are those little white "mug me, please!" headphones that come with iPods. These actually came with an iPod shuffle, and it was a present, and not to me, in any case--so no, I don't own one of those ridiculous things.

It's been long time my friends!
My Hassy and Pentax are alone since some months, I have no time for shooting around 'cause of my photography job, but sometime I go to the beach with my other daughter, the Ixus :P
I hope I will have some free time to take my heavy old cams and go around again now.

I didn't want to pay the outrageous prices some places were asking for plexiglass iPod stands, so I bought a sheet and made one myself. I rigged a very simple jig for making straight bends, and used a heat gun to heat the plastic. I don't use this one anymore since I've built one that has a cut in it so I can plug a dock cable into the bottom.
A very simple musical note pattern for your iPod cozy.
(Intarsia knitting technique recommended)
Yarn: DK or fingering weight.
For a 2nd generation iPod nano cozy, cast on 25 stitches. Use stockinette stitch (alternate one knitted and one purled row).
I knitted about 100 rows total, but decide for yourself. Start knitting the musical note after ~65 rows, see chart above. Feel free to make the "legs" of the note longer.
One knitted, centered buttonhole toward the end completes the pattern.
Some blocking recommended (I used a steam iron) before sewing sides together. Add button.
I found an iPod Nano that I had forgotten I had.
Several generations prior to this one, Apple offered a tiny iPod Nano that had a built-in video camera. Even though the video quality wasn't the greatest, at the time it was pretty amazing. I had one of those, but it eventually stopped working when I was using it while jogging. iPods do not respond well to moisture of any kind.
As with so many products today, the newer incarnations of Apple products tend to "dumb down" the available features.
I suppose the idea is to drive everyone toward the more expensive iPhone.
I think I bought this to use while jogging. I went through several iPods while jogging. Jogging with music gets expensive after a while. I found the touch screen Nano difficult to use while running. Also, the screen began to show some fading and discoloration, so I stopped using it. That moisture thing again.
I don't know how people jog with their phones. Either they don't sweat much, or they replace their phones a lot.
Here are the supplies you'll need to create the case.
1 Manila folder
1 sheet white copy paper
Packing Tape
Ipod Box (for use as a template)
A piece of clear, flexible, durable plastic. I am using the window to a freebie badge holder I got at a conference.
Scissors and a sharp pencil will come in handy.
