Guest Video: The iPod Flea Ad Spoof
This week, David Pogue has arranged for a special guest video artist: Scott Kelby, Photoshop maven. Last week, as he keynoted his own Mac Design conference, he played a hilarious Apple ad spoof for something called the iPod Flea, which I'm pleased to offer in its Web debut.

Front & back. These photos are horrid, but the front material is very thin, such you can actually see the screen through it if you're not in direct light. You can see the left edge of the ipod catching the flash through it here. The back is a quilted fabric, for cute factor as well as oops-I-dropped-my-iPod factor.

I found this wooden orb at a thrift store, and thought it would make a nice housing for an IPod amplifier. I think it was for spices or something, because it came with a wooden pestle. Circuit is an LM386-N1 based amplifier, with optional battery or wall power. here's the old iPod at the Cadillac Ranch- I pass here everytime I go for a ride on the bike- always fun to see the tourists checking out the cars!

This black, soft leather has been machine sewn together to form this beautiful ipod case. Tooling leather has been added and then hand sewn to the case flap. The 2oz tooling leather has been tooled prior to adding it to the case. This piece of tooling leather has The Queen of Hearts pattern tooled on to it.

Afscheid genomen van m'n oude, trouwe (2nd generation) iPod. Ik heb ook ooit de állereerste iPod (5GB) gehad, maar verkocht omdat ik toen -acht jaar geleden- deze grotere (10GB) wilde. Stom, natuurlijk: die állereerste iPod is inmiddels een klassieker geworden. Nu is ook deze 2nd generation verkocht: ik deed er niks meer mee.
My iPod nano was left in a jacket pocket and sent through the wash. After air drying for a few days, the screen was shot. I was able to manually replace the screen for the mere price of $6.99. Now the little trooper is back up and running!
