David Brill posted a link to a cut and fold iPod stand (http://www.dessinemoiunobjet.com/iphone-and-itouch-paper-stand-dock/ ) and asked if anyone could make one out of origami. Here is my attempt.

I find the Ipod Touch a surprisingly good and highly portable photo viewer. The screen is brilliant (literally). You can download photos directly from Flickr, or use dropbox, so you don't even need to go near itunes, which is handy if you do your post processing using a Linux computer like me. Those old flip photo albums of slightly dodgy 5"x3.5" prints are consigned to the history books, thank goodness.

It's a terrible hole - I tried cutting it freehand but unless you have the control of an x-acto knife, it'll be messy. After the second attempt, I figured out a better way, and was able to go back and clean up this one.

iPod Hoodie was made using the tunisian knit stitch with a afghan crochet hook, and yarn needle for finishing. One of my favorite projects! :)
Polished steel ist back ... unfortunately. It's way too sensitive for a gadget like an mp3 player. I bet that the 4th generation comes in a full aluminum enclosure, much like the 2nd gen nanos did.
Nevertheless the third nano is the best traditional iPod yet. It's really tiny, can smoothly be operated and hold's an impressive 8GB of music. Since I got it I've never used my 4th gen iPod with 20GB again (still love it, but you know, it's heavy ;-)).
the boy got an ipod touch from his uncle for christmas and he's been asking for a case. and being the DIY kinda kind of guy I am, I made him one. It's just a big piece of 1" think foam for pillows. needless to say, he was none too pleased.
this is an ipod cake for a singer's birthday. It is covered in rolled fondant and gumpaste flowers are on the board. The lettering and photo are done on icing sheets
Taylor gave me her iPod shuffle! Well, kind of. She saw that they're making them in pink now, so now she has to get one and decided to sell me hers a quite a nice discount. I've been wanting something smaller than my iPod Video for listening to music, so I think this will work out very well. So as you can see, she's been very giving lately. :)
And yes, I actually took this photo. It came out looking a lot better than I expected.
This was just something for fun - a broken iPod mini (£10 from eBay) - as with all these the hard drive has broken and the battery's wearing out. I took it apart and replaced the hard drive with an old 2Gb CompactFlash card, plugged it back into iTunes, did a 'Restore' of the system software and it worked!. It's still got a loose connection somewhere which causes it to cut out sometimes but other than that it's fine. You can see in the last picture the memory is shown as 1.8Gb - Apple only ever made 4Gb and 6Gb versions of this. I could, I suppose, splash out and buy a 16Gb card for it...
This is the image I composited over the photograph.
The mousepad texture was made by taking a top-down photograph of my mouse pad. All other textures and shaders were tweaked to get the right look.
Lighting was made to match the room lighting.
Aligning the image in 3D to the camera's persective was by far the hardest part.
