Here is my U2 special edition, 20 gig iPod beside the Regency TR-1 in red (the world's 1st transistor radio circa 1954-55) and TR-4 (black). Interesting that the iPod's "click wheel" is almost the exact same size as the Regency tuning dial.
Even more interesting - the middle radio (the upside down TR-4) sure looks a great deal like the Braun T-3. The Regency design pre-dates the Braun design.

This is my new iPod Nano. As you can see, it still has the factory protective film on it! I haven't still used it.. Got it yesterday.
As an owner of the shuffle I was immediately interested in the size difference of the nano vs. the shuffle. Seeing them side by side it's hard to believe how small the nano is!

Over the last week I've been making iPod holsters out of old neck ties. I was going to make a messenger bag out of them but then I realized that I didn't have enough. Since I didn't really feel like buying more, I decided to do some smaller projects.
These are the first few I've done. The ones without buttons have snap closures. There are belt loops on the backs.
Borrowed a ipod touch today from a friend. it would be so much more useful if it could run something besides the iphone OS.

These are I-pod theme centerpieces with glowing "color changing" bases. Each centerpiece had an Ipod on top with a different album and her favorite song featured. Around the base were I-tunes gift cards with the special event date ion them.

Adiós Nike-iPod durante una época me motivaste mucho para conseguir mis sueños de corredor, compre mis tenis Nike para poder usar el pequeño censor que también compre y que colocándolo dentro del tenis contaba mis pasos y así mis kilómetros recorridos, poco después una aplicación web iba traqueando mi recorrido en alguna ciudad del mundo y el hecho de completar las ciudades y competir con amigos online era divertido todo mundo corríamos lo mas que podíamos para llegar y subir tus resultados, compartir en las redes sociales, y sincronizarlo con mi monitor cardiaco POLAR.
Pero Evolucione y encontré quien me enseñara a correr así como quienes me hablaban de correr naturalmente sin dañar tus rodillas y tobillos, me intereso el tema y lo intente, el resultado hasta a mi me sorprendió después de tantos años comencé a obtener mejores resultados con el cambio de posición e intentar una y otra vez correr con las puntas (el metatarso).
Así encontré unos tenis NEWTON y poco a poco fui dejando mis viejos y nuevos tenis NIKE.
Al mismo tiempo gracias a un amigo Jonathan mejor conocido como X-play en el mundo flickr, quien me llevo con un entrenador profesional de triatlón (deporte que hacia unos años había comenzado a practicar). Y en conjunto con lo aprendido por Newton y amigos en común encontré que lo importante para un entrenamiento inteligente para no generar lesiones y ser mas competitivo era saber correr y no los miles de kilómetros mal corridos con la anterior técnica motivacional.
Mientras tanto en ese tiempo se le acabaron las pilas a los censores NIKE-iPod y es un lío cambiarles la pila vaya no es cosa fácil, viene sellado el censor, hay que usar soldadura para hacer alguna nueva conexión de cables y que sea mas sencillo en el futuro cambiarle la pila, seguir consumiendo tenis Nike (aunque encontré que venden una bolsita que se amarra en las agujetas y sujeta el censor) en fin mas gastos, comprendí que Nike vendía y vendía y vendía censores, tenis, y accesorios. Toda una red de marketing bien puesta y cautiva.
En el mismo equipo de Triatlón Endurance, me recomendaron usar una marca vieja conocida por mi, GARMIN pero yo usaba mi GARMIN E-TREX LEGEND como GPS en mis rutas de montaña, ahhh pues ahora tenían una nueva línea de monitor cardiaco, GPS, censor de pasos, censor de bici y además mide mis brazadas en la alberca… Wow!! Y me imagine todo eso hay que comprarlo por separado, pues no, es un paquete, y luego comencé a hacer cuentas en la cabeza de si sería mas caro que el censor de NIKE o bien que tan difícil sería cambiarle la pila o peor aún que tan difícil sería conseguirlo en México?.
Pues no, el censor viene con una puerta fácil de cambiar la pila, se compra una sola vez, no costo mas y le queda a cualquier tenis. En su pagina puedes subir tus resultados, llevar tu ruta verdadera, monitorear tu corazón, y compartir tus resultados en las redes sociales. Configuras tu monitor GARMIN 910 XT para tu actividad ya sea que nades, andes en bici, o corras y te marca tus resultados por separado, es una belleza y es genial y aún falta lo mejor. El reloj costo lo mismo que un POLAR digamos del rango pero con todo y accesorios.
Por eso hoy Wally se lo lleva a su almacén, Gracias por motivarme en alguna época pero ya no estoy dispuesto a arriesgar mi entrenamiento, mis rodillas y tobillos por correr contando pasos que se vuelven kilómetros o mi economía por consumir productos NIKE que tampoco tienen una tecnología super wow para atletas… sino que manejan una tecnología media de consumo y que supongo les deja lo $uficiente.
Hoy estoy super contento y cada que corro primero con mucho corazón y pasión por que amo este deporte trato de no olvidar mi GARMIN.
So Wally no olvides también llevarte los Nike y luego regresas por el POLAR.
