Taken with my old iPhone back in May on the way to India.

And I mean really brief.

Black and white version is under the fold. I almost made it the main one (with color version in the comments), but then chickened out!

My contribution to the #paperloveproject

...the world looks different. Or so the poster says.

I gave in. This (FREE!) meter app helps when shooting with manual aperture vintage lenses. It lacks the style of my old Gossen Luna Pro but delivers the correct reading and is far more convenient to carry.

I almost never take black & white photos, but that morning in London I decided to put my Hipstamatic iPhone app on random, when it selects virtual lens and film combo by itself, and got a few unusual shots. And I mean unusual for me. This is one of them. HFF!

It is not this nice, fluffy snow, but the other kind - sticky and yucky, just one step away from becoming an ice. When I brought Babo and Wage back inside, I naturally had to scrape the ice off their little butts. Now we have these tiny little icicles, not snowflakes, falling down...I think it is officially called sleet, but i am not sure. In any case, NOT pleasant!

Two more iPhone shots are below the fold. If only to prove that we do have snow!!

My hotel room in Allahabad was tiny, oddly shaped (you can probably tell just by looking at the weird angle of the wall on the left) and kind of cute. It also had the most uncomfortable bed in history - as hard as the floor, but also very "lumpy". You have to be very tired to be able to fall asleep in this kind of bed. Which I was...more or less.

I still have a bunch of photos taken with my old iPhone left and will upload some of them eventually. This one is from the trip to DC in March. Time flies.

Before you say "great timing", I have to tell you that this cat is not real. I added it with the help of Cat Paint app (yes, there is an app for everything these days!). The table and chair, on other hand, are very real, but I am not expecting a lot of credit for taking pictures of my kitchen. I just thought that all together they do make a perfect combo for Sliders Sunday. HSS, you all!

Allahabad train station. To get to your platform you have to go up and down and up and down again. In 116 degree weather it's a killer.

Oh, and if you are using metric system (which you are unless you live in US, Myanmar or Liberia), 116 F is almost 47 C.

Although you can't see much of the museum here. I think these are the lockers where you can leave stuff which is not allowed, like video cameras. Or may be they are for something else...I am not sure. But they fit well with the modern design of the floor.

I know, this is not exactly "Bench Monday" material because I am not actually on the bench, but hey, there is my reflection right above it...I bet it counts for something!

I walked around Amsterdam for a few hours that day and for the first hour or so I was certain I knew where I am going and how to get back. But then I realized I am hopelessly lost, and all streets look the same, and they don't match the map at all, and three different - but equally kind - strangers sent me in three different directions, and all three times I promptly got lost again. But lucky for me, I took this shot in the very beginning of my "adventure" and when I stumbled upon this door again (by pure accident), I knew exactly where I am. Red doors rule!

By now I think I became an expert on trains in India as I have been on "prepare to die" train (very crowded, no AC, brutal in 115 degrees weather...opened windows help, but not much), on pretty decent train (with weak AC and fans, but painfully slow - I think two cute kids in a row across from me grew an inch taller by the time we reached our final destination), and on awesome train (goes super fast, AC, reclining seats, and you are offered food something like 11 times during 5 hour ride. Well, may be more like 3 times, but it feels like 11 because there is also tea offering every 20 minutes or so.) If you ever in India, remember Shatabdi Express is a way to go.

A bunch of train themed images is below the fold. I am flying home tomorrow night, so this is most likely my last upload while on the road.

I never saw anyone crossing here...ever! There is nothing on either side of the road or within the reasonable distance, so this sign must have been placed here as a joke. I can't think of any other explanation.
