It's my birthday and there are flowers. I like flowers...I have nothing against flowers...even if I almost never take pictures of them. One more shot is below the fold - iPhone both of them.

Wage and Babo are always my "go to" guys for testing new applications or processing...or anything, really. They don't mind.
Two more are below the fold.
Lame. I know. Can't help myself. :-)
The original shot is in the comments section...still on the "lame side" though.

Managed to get a fence shot while in DC earlier this month. And I even have not one, but two fences here. So double HFF, everyone!

You can see the original iPhone shot and another - b&w - version in the comments, but here I run the original through three more iPhone applications, adding the sunburst for a little more drama. HSS, everyone!
Re-edited this shipwreck image with some iPhone apps. Thank you for your appreciation, Gail. You can follow me on Instagram @gks1950.
This is from our last snow storm-I pass this place everyday on my way to work-might have snow when I get there tomorrow-not sure-day 5 of our rain....

I love Thanksgiving, but I am always glad when all the cooking and the cleaning is over. Also this time I came out of it with just one minor burn, which is a success. And - yay - there are three more free days ahead!
Time for the fence now. I took this one as I was running to the grocery store and back for the third time on Wednesday - iPhone shot at the gas station near by. Not much of a fence, but I liked all the yellow. HFF!

Only I am not going to tell you were it is. :-)
Taken with an iPhone 4. Now to see it on black and larger all you need to do is to click on the picture itself or on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner. Or just press L on your keyboard.
I think I don't say that often enough! Yesterday Hipstamatic released new lens/film combination and, as you can see, it rocks. I know this is a very, very lazy shot...no excuses. But it still looks kind of cool! Did I mention I love iPhone?
A picture of a building drawn on the wall of that very same building so you won't get confused if this is a building you are looking for.

Not to bore anyone with 4 somewhat similar uploads, here are all 4 at once - a takeoff from our Raleigh-Durham International Airport. "International" thanks to total of one flight a day to London. That's it.
With this little piggy flying over your head, it seems kind of silly to be using this expression. But at least we still have "when hell freezes over", which is a little harder to ruin by providing a visual than a flying pig concept. In Russia we used to say "when the crayfish on the hill whistles", which is soooo silly and sounds even sillier when you translate it into English. Who comes up with these things?
This is a pig from our neighborhood barbecue joint. Several people noticed it in my yesterday's shot and I thought I should post a closeup today. Flying pigs are not something you see every day!
Between bench Mondays, fence Fridays and bokeh Wednesdays, I never seem to get it right. I think I am on target today...unless it is fence Mondays and bench Fridays...grrrr!

The Menzies Centre, Hobart, Tasmania.
The Centre is a medical and research training facility in the city. The exterior of the building is intended to represent the contours and waterways of the surrounding nipaluna country.
I also shot this as a long exposure but thanks to slab grey skies, the test shot - with some actual cloud detail - ended up being better :-)
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, 6.86mm f/1.8 rear camera, 1/4400th sec at f/1.8, ISO 100. Moment 18mm T-Series wide lens.
Another one of those situations when I was asked to take a picture. Although I was glad he asked. Allahabad rickshaws have the most beautiful carriages - with fancy paintings and embroidered tops. If I had time to just go around and take pictures of all these carriages, I would definitely do that.
And now tell me if this guy is not wearing a Harley Davidson shirt. Because it certainly looks like one.
I spent 30 long boring minutes stuck in traffic this morning on my way to work, which is not very common, but still highly annoying. At least I had a chance to test my iPhone photo applications...you can see few more shots below the fold.
IPhone collage and tribute to Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow created with Squiggles over a digital photograph of a small 1920's manniquin I have.
