Hoppelganger's clean and slightly sweet finish is followed by the aggressive bitterness expected of a Northwest IPA
From R&B Brewing , Vancouver , BC
The COLD IPA is the story of a bold West Coast hop that had a long-distance romance with a famous German yeast. Trying to meet face to face, they found themselves in Charlevoix. this unique encounter, it is said that we sometimes hear From the moose singing on its mountain: "My country is not a country, it's a beer!". Sparkling, bright, refreshing...
Hoppy, unfiltered kookiness. Not for the faint of heart, this IPA delivers on the bottle's promise of an "aggressively hopped" IPA "- starting out with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors and finishing with a rich malty sweetness."
The firts taste is truly tart and piney, followed by a strong malt aftertaste.
As yoou can see, this is unfiltered.
Strobist: The beer was set up in Liam and Campbell's Ikea Igloo tent, on top of a clear container. A SB-600, with a Lightspehere was behind the container, aimed at the rear wall of the tent, set at 1/2. A SB-800 was on a lightstand outside, and above the tent, to camera-right, fired through the tent at 1/1. The on-board flash was set at 1/32.
This is Red Hook's new relabel version of their IPA. They are now using Long Hammer IPA to pay homage to everything great in this country (USA) that was made with the hard labor of using a long hammer.
It is a great hoppy beer for only $12.99 a 12 pack. I will probably pick up some again but, it is not my favorite.

On The White Horse on Parsons Green, there were many nice ales. The place was crowded so we sat down in the garden outside. We had one pint of Punk IPA real ale each and shared half a pint of the latest Brewdog release AB04. And there was much rejoicing.
This is for my photograph of "Muscle Beach" shown elsewhere in my photostream here on flickr (see link below). I was competing among the top photographers in the world. Needless to say, I'm quite happy to be recognized.

it smelled very sweet and citrusy but it had more of of tart taste, which i didnt like too much. also the hops werent over powering enough, felt more like a pale ale than an IPA.
maybe i got one past its prime (cant tell since there's no date) it's not the best choice if you are looking for a hop bomb...but its still a good beer

My free IPA from Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis.
Shortly after they opened (in 1997, I think), Town Hall formed a pint club, in which you could buy a lifetime membership and get some free swag and a pretty good discount on the beer. I joined for $35.
Then I moved away. Sometime after that, they added a great perk to the Pint Club: free beer on Saturdays from 4 to 5 pm. Just show your pint club card and they'll keep bringing you beers (and their beers are very good).
Brilliant marketing idea, since it really turned "Pint Club Hour" on Saturday into a real social event, with a lot of regulars.
So, while I only get to flex it every few years, I still love my Pint Club membership.
In some ways, I wish I could sell it, since new membership are now up to $175...

RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002 n June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original.

This IPA is brewed in Asheville, North Carolina. I first tried it when visiing my daughter at college in Boone, NC about a year ago. It's now available in the Atlanta area and is a favorite of mine.

I have passed the Black Horse pub many times. On each occasion, as I've made my way along the towpath, either the pub has been too busy for my liking, or the weather has been too inclement to sit outside. On the late August Bank Holiday, Monday 29 August 2011, for once neither of those conditions applied, just. Thus I came to be sat outside, with a pint of Wadworth IPA. Admittedly, I had no food to accompany my drink, as the customer before me at the bar was told there was a 40 minute wait for food (quite how they cope when it has been busier in the past, I do not know). So I settled for this liquid lunch alone and was soon on my way again.
