Granville island Brewery has released an IPA under the name Urban Legend. While this is not labeled as being part of the Black Notebook series this is definitely a craft beer. A cloudy, golden coloured ale pours out of the glass with a finger and a half of lacing head. This distinct IPA smells of rich piney hops, strong aromatics, and citrus tones. The aroma forecasts a strong, flavourful and creamy beer with some big hops to go with it. The flavour is a great balance starting off with a lightly sweetened, tropical fruit like flavour that leads into a piney, aromatic hop center. A smooth body, mid sweetness and big punch of hops makes for a beer that changes through the tasting in a dynamic and fairly complex IPA
Combining the traditional Belgian IPA style with some of the newest hop varietals from Australia and New Zealand

Kaliningrad (Russian: Калининград, IPA: [kəlʲɪnʲɪnˈgrat]), formerly called Königsberg (German: Königsberg; Russian: Кёнигсберг; Old Prussian: Twangste, Kunnegsgarbs, Knigsberg; Lithuanian: Karaliaučius; Polish: Królewiec), is a seaport city and the administrative center of Kaliningrad Oblast, the Russian exclave between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea. The territory borders on NATO and European Union members Poland and Lithuania, and is geographically separated from the rest of Russia.
The locality was a site of the ancient Old Prussian settlement/fort Twangste. In 1255, a new fortress was built on this site by the Teutonic Knights during the Northern Crusades, and was named "Königsberg" in honour of King Ottokar II of Bohemia. The town was part of the State of the Teutonic Order, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian Empire, Prussia and Germany (until 1945). Until the end of World War II, the area formed the northern part of the former East Prussia.
The city was largely destroyed during World War II; its ruins were captured by the Red Army in 1945 and its German population fled or was removed by force. It was named Kaliningrad in 1946 in honor of Mikhail Kalinin. In 2005 Kaliningrad celebrated its 750 years of existence.
According to the 2010 Census, its population was 431,902 - an increase from 430,003 recorded in the 2002 Census. Its ethnic composition is 77.9% Russians, 8.0% Belarusians, 7.3% Ukrainians, 1.9% Lithuanians, 0.6% Germans, and 0.5% Poles.
this is my sister; I took this photo for my basic photography class where i had to do portraits.. this didnt make it to the final 3 selection but it came useful this month when i had to do a music album design for her press kit.
Original photo was taken with a 35mm minolta camera and kodak b/w film... i developped it manually and then scanned and did some minor editing in photoshop.
2007-08-18. It's starting to look better now, after quite a while in bottle. My best beer so far. Fantastic flavours, the hops and body matches each other perfectly, just like it should in an IPA. of course there is much bitterness and hop flavour/aroma. Especially the american hop flavours.

This has just turned up in my local Morrison's, so I thought I'd give it a try. It's quite unusual and tastes a bit like a strong lemon tea. Worth a try maybe, but not a detour.

Wat Pho (Thai: วัดโพธิ์, IPA: [wát pʰoː]) is a Buddhist temple in Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the Rattanakosin district directly adjacent to the Grand Palace. Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, its official name is Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhlaram Ratchaworamahawihan
The image of reclining Buddha is 15 m high and 43 m long with his right arm supporting the head with tight curls on two box-pillows of blue, richly encrusted with glass mosaics. The 3 m high and 4.5 m long foot of Buddha displays are inlaid with mother-of-pearl. They are divided into 108 arranged panels, displaying the auspicious symbols by which Buddha can be identified like flowers, dancers, white elephants, tigers and altar accessories. Over the statue is a seven tiered umbrella representing the authority of Thailand. There are 108 bronze bowls in the corridor indicating the 108 auspicious characters of Buddha. People drop coins in these bowls as it is believed to bring good fortune, and to help the monks maintain the wat
