Featured is a photo composite made up from my own photos, put together with a lot of post-production work.

'Site Zero' is inspired by a lot of various sci-fi films, among them, my favourite one; Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I used Canon 5DsR and Canon 70-300mm lens to capture my base image. Location: Delma Island in the UAE.

Photo composite was processed with Photoshop CC 2015.5 and NIK Collection. As usual, I worked on a custom built PC and Wacom Intuos tablet.

a famous place in Martinique you can discover after 1 hour of walk.

Taken with a ND filter (3.0).

This was my practice attempt at digitally art. I created this using a Second Life image combined with a watercolor sketch of a wave. This was accomplished on a Wacom Intuos graphics pad using Sketchbook, Corel Painter, and Photoshop.

my annual picture - composed of three original pictures from Olympic National Park (forest), Dahner Felsenland (railway tracks), Schattenburg Fortress (gate).

Mon premier dessin réalisé à la tablette graphique.

Wonderfull place in caribean French Indies.

hi! today was christmas and I got to spend a little less than 24 hours at home with my dad, little brother and ryan but it was so much fun and worth the two hour drive!

I got a yongnuo speedlite yn560 today so I decided to test it out before bed, I have never used a speedlite before but I am excited to teach myself more about artificial lighting. I also got an apple magic mouse from ryan and a maggie taylor book from my dad. With my new old mac (thanks to emily tebbetts!), my new mouse, my wacom tablet (it's an intuos 3 for those who are curious!) and my maggie taylor book I am ready for some serious 365 work. I feel really inspired to plan projects for the near future and to put my soul into my images.

Now if only I didn't have to work tomorrow on the biggest return day ever

Ya win some, ya lose some I guess ;) I hope you have a lovely and safe holiday season !

p.s. ryan and I met thanks to flickr three years ago today :*

Would you so soon put out, with worldly hands, the light I give?

Shot was made in Martinique, in a hot water.

My recent trek through Lebanon took me to another beautiful spot featured in this photograph.

Faraya is a Lebanese village, located in the Kesrwan District. Its altitude ranges from 1,300 to 2,300 metres above sea level. It gets very cold during the winter as you can imagine...

The word Faraya stands for "The land of fruits and vegetables" in Phoenician due to its soil fertility. This was abundantly evident from the countless, man-made terraces on the slopes of the mountains where fruit and vegetables are grown.

As we were constantly on the move, I didn't really have the luxury of picking the optimal spot, time or the weather conditions for the photos I had in my mind. I simple worked with what I had.

Faraya is famous for snow but to my disappointment, it fell right after I left the country.

Next time, I suppose.

This panorama was stitched from 7 vertically oriented, single exposures. Panoramic processing and correction was accomplished on Adobe Photoshop CC 2016 and Nik Software Silver Efex Pro 2.

I used a custom built PC running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Wacom Intuos Pro

My camera, as usual, was Canon Middle East 5dmk3 with Canon 24-105mm lens. I carried a very light, portable Benro (magnesium) tripod and Really Right Stuff BH-40 ballhead.

This is a digital painting done using Corel Painter x3 and a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet. I used a photo I had taken previously of a scene in Swan Valley, Idaho as a "clone source." The Painter brushes used were the "Impressionist" brush from the Artist group and the "Real Dry Acrylic" brush from the Acrylic group both in various sizes. Because colors tend to get a bit muddy in cloning, I selectively boosted saturation in the final painting.

Yes, the camera was in a dangerous position on this one and it was a bit tricky to compose... I like the result though!

a little self-promotion: if you have a moment I would suggest that you check my interview on photoshelter's blog.

A few days ago I bought myself a cheap Wacom Intuos tablet and decided to "break it in" my doing a photoshop-heavy conceptual photo.

This was a heck of a lot of fun to make, but it took a darn long time!

Shot with a 24mm lens and a Nikon speedlight bounced off the ceiling.

Haven't been posting much, but I recently got the new mesh head from genus and I'm in love with it! More pictures to come soon (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Directly from my Morleskine!

I can´t do any work today since I sold my Bamboo Fun and my new Intuos 4 M will hopefully arrive tomorrow (which also means I have to use a mouse again, and it sucks). So I´m uploading yet ANOTHER progress shot. I swore I was only going to post the final piece, but oh well...

...that Walkman was fun to draw!

My first dodge and burn test. Quiet happy to discover these amazing effects on the picture. I used my new Wacom tablet Intuos Pro small. I have to train to use this tablet.

One of the things I cherish about my passion for photography is how it forces me to look, not just glance at the world around me. I've been to Kozjak Waterfall in Slovenia a few times during my life, but I never saw it through the viewfinder. This time, I went there as a photographer. I have to say, it was a revelation and it felt like I was experiencing it for the very first time. When I finally found the right spot, not too far and not too close to the subject, I waited for the sunlight to enter the canyon. I patiently waited until the sun found its way into this magical crevasse. When the spot of light appeared, the iridescent water for just began to glow as if touched by a magic wand. This special moment lasts barely 10 minutes during the summer days. The place lit up with colours and you could taste the fragrance in the air coming from the grass, the pines, the mountain flowers, damp moss, the fresh mist coming off of the waterfall and the glow of the summer light bouncing off the rocks above me. This, all of this, I wanted to capture with a single frame. The whole experience, not just what my eyes saw...This may be a controversial statement, but I believe that nobody walks away from a visited destination with as much as photographers. Because traveling to a new place shouldn't just be about ticking the mark next to its name and taking a few selfies for the road. It's about savoring its essence, feeling it on your skin, in your heart and in your mind and then, only then, capturing the moment for posterity. This waterfall is a sublime work of nature. Nothing less than a total surrender merits its existence.

More about this location:

The Kozjak brook, feeding the Soča river from the east (on the left), springs high beneath Mt. Krnčica (2142 m), and runs through many pools making six waterfalls. One of Slovenia’s most picturesque waterfalls, the Veliki Kozjak, was created in the outlet of the lower Korita of the Kozjak Brook.

Approximately 250 meters lower, the water falls again. Here, the waterfall carved an underground hall. Its bottom is covered by a vast blue and green pool, and its walls are reminiscent of those in the Karst caves. A 15 meter high white water column offers its visitors an unforgettable scenery.

Tech info: This shot was taken in a 2012 with Canon 5D mk2, Canon 24mm TS-E lens fit with Heliopan 82mm CPL filter and Tiffen 4-stop ND filter. I re-processed it in April 2016 with my current post-production techniques which never cease to evolve. I used luminosity masks to blend 3 various exposures into a much better controlled representation of light and shadows. I used Photoshop CC 2016, NIK Collection to turn the vision into the image. I worked on a custom built PC, powered by Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and Wacom Intuos Pro graphic tablet.

The old wacom tablet was becoming inaccurate, so after 8 years it needed to be replaced.

The new Intuos Pro M is very sleek, minimal and no waste of real estate. It also has double amount of express keys and touch wheels. Just love it
