"rest" pace for 900 meters: 4:03.
Repeat 7 more times, running continuously.
I've been trying this work out I found in Peak Running Performance, where the fast interval is run at goal 10km race pace and the rest interval is run at 80% of goal 10km race pace. Start with 400m speedy intervals and 1000m rest intervals and work your way up (100m) at a time, until you can do 1000m speedy intervals with 400m rest intervals.
Since, I don't like to rely on my brain too much while doing track workouts, I try to get as much thinking required to do the workout before hand, like computing goal pace and 80% of goal pace for various intervals.

With the back straight rotate the pelvis forward by tucking the abdomen in and squeezing the gluteus (buttocks)
