Microchip Technology's MCP2036 Analog Front End (AFE) for inductive touch-sensing applications. Complimenting the Company’s royalty-free mTouch™ Inductive Touch-Sensing Solutions, the fully-integrated MCP2036 AFE works with almost any 8-, 16- or 32-bit PIC® microcontroller (MCU) or dsPIC® Digital Signal Controller (DSC), making it even easier and more cost effective for designers to enhance user interfaces with inductive touch-sensing technology.

Since 2004, Linz Art University has offered an “Interface Cultures” master’s degree program in which students learn scientific and, above all, artistic ways of working with all possible—and impossible—forms of communication with machines and devices. From the very outset, this program founded by Christa Sommerer (AT) and Laurent Mignonneau (FR) has offered students the opportunity to showcase their work in conjunction with Ars Electronica and thereby to reach very large audiences.

This interface feels clumsy. For example:
- the 'Hour', 'Min' and 'Menu' buttons (at the bottom) are grouped together and different shapes,
- branding and superfluous information to prominent, e.g., 'Made in Japan' and 'Tiger' and
- the display navigation column headers are too cramped to be easily legible.
