The fact that we live in a deep gravity well in a gas covered planet which goes around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and it still feels like another Tuesday proves the significance of perspective in our lives.

We believe that a right perspective can change our lives. TEDxGCEK, the youngest member of TED community plans to represent the same. TEDx speakers compel us to initiate, innovate and improvise the lives of people in ways that we never even knew existed.

Instead of searching for new ideas and inspiration one can simply look at things with different angles.TEDxGCEK aims to bring people from a different perspective to help change each others’ way of looking at the world.

The trophic interaction is between a squirrel (primary consumer) and the nuts/seeds of a tree (primary producer).

The most influential species in the environment would definitely be the plant life (not sure which species specifically because I don’t know the abundance of each plant species) because 95% of the environment is densely tree and grass covered. These plants provide food, shelter and protection for the organisms that inhabit this area. The plants influence the nutrient contents in the soil and the gas concentrations in the atmosphere. They also have an effect on, not only the environment which they reside, but on other environments in the area.

If you removed these plant species it would essentially wipe out a vast majority of all the populations living there. The shelters being used would be destroyed and leave the organisms without protection or a home. The organisms that rely on the plants for food would have to go somewhere else in order to survive. The soil and atmosphere concentrations would also be effected. Because this environment is mostly trees, removing them would drastically alter the environment into something completely different than what it is now.

If you took a specific plant species that is very influential and replaced it with an invasive species, it could have a drastic negative effect on the environment. This plant, for example, may be able to gain sunlight and nutrients more efficiently, competitively excluding the other plant species. This plant may be unsuitable as a source of food for the organisms that rely on the native plant as food, causing these organisms to either leave the environment or starve. It could also draw other invasive organisms to the area, which in turn could have an effect on all the native organisms there.

Pine tree (producer)= limited by exhaustion of their own resources, light, water, exhaustion of a critical mineral

Spider (carnivore) = limited by respective resources, such as food

Moth (herbivore – eats liquid from plants and fruits) = predator limited
