My reflection in the door way of the infamous Selfridges building in Birmingham, taken whilst it was snowing. I was standing on the equivalent of a slushy ice-rink. I love the mix of lines, curves, old and new in this shot - with the snow covered church reflected in the glass.

We know people, animals, brids interact with each other. Even object must be interacting with each other. Like two tea cups on a coffe shop table... They might be actually chatting with each other.

ELEV(I)ATE - an interactive installation by choreographer/performer Athena Mazarakis and digital artist, Tegan Bristow in the foyer of the Market Theatre, New Town, Johannesburg. Part of the Johannesburg Dance Umbrella programme, March 2010. As a performer working within an interactive installation designed by Bristow, Mazarakis invited passers-by to participate in a dance lift, "the currency of exchange" within each meeting. Mazarakis' skill as a comic performer was evident in her spontaneous interactions between a large variety of participants; while different elements of interactive media refracted and reflected the encounter through a plethora of images ranging from animated information graphics to disco lights & live video. But the results of the lifts were often deeply felt, even spiritual in effect, with Mazarkis's partners often overwhelmed by emotion released through the uplifting experience.
